First off i want to say that i LOVE 1Aauto they always have anything i need for my vehicle and typically better priced than anywhere else... but this part i received is Bad it has a leak and i believe it is a manufacture defect. I have contacted 1Aauto and am waiting for a resolution. will update after situation is resolved.

Rack and pinion 2003 trailblazer

Recived unit fast as always, had to bend the lines a but to install it, no big deal, filled it with fluid, started the car and the fluid poured out of unit. Brand new unit had no seals in it. Called bought and installed seals locally, ok so far. Customer service was great, reimbursed me for seals, but I had to leave the car on stands for three days instead of one.

I bought this rack & pinion for one of my customers back in July of 2017 and 8 months later she came back to me stating that her car kept coming out of alignment even though she just got it aligned twice. Come to find out that the rack and pinion was bad, only reason I didn't give it a one star is because 1aauto is very good with their warranties and I had the replacement part the day after I called them.

Bought this for a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer with 180,000 miles on it. Old ones seals failed as both boots were filled and leaking fluid. Contemplated buying a refurbished one, but this was nearly the same price as some I saw, so the price was right! Part looks like pretty good quality for the price and everything swapped out fine...I did have to use the old coupler/u joint (between the gear and the intermediate steering shaft) as this did not come with one. This did come with the inner tie rods attached so that was nice...the outer tie rods I bought from 1AAuto to replace had a longer thread so matching the previous alignment Was a little tricky. My largest complaint was that the power steering lines leaked fluid at the point they connect to the steering rack, so now I am contemplating replacing lines as well and hoping they seat better so they dont leak.

Part didn't fit -- the hydrolic lines stick out too far -- further than the original and this is a very tight fit in the first place. I could have maybe forced it in but the lines would have probably kinked. I have bought from 1A-Auto for probably 10 years now because they offer great helpful videos and advice and I think they should get some reward for the help. I just wasted 2 weekends with this snafu.

Honestly I haven't had it 3 months and the seals have started to go bad is all I can assume because up until a week ago there were no problems and lo leaking..the past 2 days it has not even been drive able because it won't hold pressure on the system and the point I traced it back to are the seals so now I have to spend the time and money replacing them. Otherwise I hope it will continue working as it was before the seal leak that has occurred

I have an 2007 Chevy Trailblazer LS . I want to know if this is ok for my truck? I recently purchased and my mechanic telling its the wrong part.. it needs bushing or bearing parts. Is this correct ? Does it come with that is needed to install???

This part is for your power steering, that should be replaced if you are leaking fluid. Bushings and bearings are different working parts.

The bearing will wear out over time making a loud noise at the wheel.the bushing will also need to be replaced when there is body movement

If slack in steering adjust rack which lowers pressure and might stop leaking mine did .. add stop leak ! 86 corvette

Not sure why it is doing that.I did not have a problem once the air was bled out. You have to turn the wheels back and forth, right to left several times to equalize the pressure and bleed the air out of the system. Other than that, I don't know what could cause it

2002 Trailblazer, I replaced the rack & pinion and had an alignment done. My steering now goes from loose sometimes to tight others. The steering wheel alignment goes from straight to off center as well. Did I get a bad rack & pinion?

I just purchased this rack and pinion from this site, and was going to pre-emptively order the cup seals called out in the second picture, however, after spending time searching here, I could not find them. Can someone post a part number?

I replaced this in an 04 Envoy as I could not get the power steering lines to not leak at the seal. I tried several cup seals and eventually contacted Gates (who made my lines) and they sent a complementary set of seals that were a little different then the ones I was getting off the shelf or online. Those finally worked. Not sure of any specific part number though. Still holding a year later. Good luck.
