Take this cover off, you want to take all these pushpins off. Just use a trim tool, pop the center part up. And then underneath the rest of it, do the same with the other ones.
Now, take this cover off. Take this bolt out. Use a 10-millimeter socket.
Now, there's plastic retainers that hold the grille on. Use a Phillips head screwdriver and just push and twist. You only have to twist it a little bit. See how that's loose. There's another one down here. That should be loose. And over here, it's loose. And over here, it's all loose.
Now just grab the trim. Now you have to just pull it out over here. Now with all those loose, then just grab this panel right here and just pull straight forward, just like that. If you struggle with getting your fingers in there, you can pull the light up. There's just two pins, pull straight up, pull the light out. Do the same on the other side. And slide the grille right off.
Then you want to disconnect these hoses. One is on the steering box and one is on the pump itself. Use a hose clamp tool. Just squeeze the hose clamp.
Make sure you have a drain bucket underneath because some of the fluid is gonna come out. And slide up like that. Do the same for the other one. Those are disconnected. Now take these two bolts out, there's one here and one right here. Use a 10-millimeter socket.
Now, this hood cable is in the way, so just take a screwdriver and just pry it off of this retainer right here, and then that's out of the way. Now grab the cooler and just twist it. And just slide the hoses out just like that.
Now take the new cooler and slide the hoses the same way they came out. You might have to grab the hoses from the inside and try to feed them through a little bit. You can see them right down here next to where the battery is.
Just be careful of the radiator and the condenser, you don't want to accidentally rub on it and mess something up. Just twist this and slide that in position. That's good. And put the bolts back in and tighten it down. Now, take the hood cable and you resecure it.
Now take the two hoses. Now the bent hose is gonna go on the steering gear or the steering box, and then the straighter hose is gonna go to the pump. And there's already a clip that's holding down on the hose clamps, so just slide it on first. Just like that.
And when that's in the right position, take some needle-nose pliers or even a pick tool and just grab that clip and just slide it off, and then the hose clamp should be all set. Do the same for the other one. I'm gonna go underneath with this one and pull it off.
Now you want to fill the power steering fluid. So have a funnel that you can access this. Pull the cap off and then top off the power steering fluid. You don't want it all the way to the top but at least fill it.
It should be good. It's a little too much. So now you're going to want to bleed the power steering system. If you have this much in the reservoir, that's a little too much. You want to take some of that out, have it a couple of inches down from the lid. And then you're going to put the cap on and get in the car. Without starting the vehicle, you want to turn the wheel back and forth with the front wheels off the ground.
So raise the front of the car up, make sure those wheels are off the ground. Turn the wheel back and forth, probably about 20 times would be good, and then recheck the level, adjust accordingly, and then you can start the vehicle and then shut it off and check the level again.
Now, take the grille and just slide it in position. Push these clips in on the side. Make sure all these line up. And take a Phillips head screwdriver and just twist these. There's four of them, this just locks it in.
All right, that's good. And take this bolt, get that started, and tighten it down. And put this cover on, line it up, and put all the pushpins in. Lock them down.

All right, we're gonna take some pliers and take this clamp off right here. This is on the top of the steering box, and it's a good idea to have a drain bucket underneath in case any fluid comes out. And there we go. Pop that off. We're gonna do the same with the hose that goes to the power steering pump. Just take that clamp, slide it back, and slide it off.
All right, let's remove this panel. I'm gonna use a trim tool, take these clips out. Take this panel off. Take this bolt out, use a 10-millimeter socket. And there's four of these twist retainers. Just take a Phillips-head screwdriver and just twist it about a quarter of a turn. And there's another one down here underneath, and two over here as well. And just grab the trim over on the side, you're just gonna pull it forward, just like that. It's clipped in right there on the sides. Do the same for the other side. And it just slides right off.
All right. This vehicle has an aftermarket cooler. Normally, it would be bolted right here and right here. You'd take those bolts out. This has some wire ties. Just cut these wire ties and just slide the hoses out.
Just like that. Take the new cooler, start feeding the hose where the old lines came out. And you might have to grab them from the inside while you're trying to feed these in. Just be careful when you twist it. You don't wanna mess up the condenser. Get this under the cable, the hood cable, and line this up.
All right, so it's gonna line up over here, and we have to take this bolt out here. Use a 10-millimeter socket. Put the bolt back in, and put a new bolt in down here, and tighten them down. All right, take the grille and line it up. Get this lined up on the side. And just twist these. There's four of them. And take this bolt, get that started. And tighten it down. And put this cover back on. And take all the pushpins, put all the pushpins back in.
Take these hoses. The shorter one is gonna go to the steering gear itself. Put that one on first. Then you can a 7-millimeter socket and just tighten that up. Tighten up the worm clamp. And take the other hose. It's gonna go on the pump right there. Then we can do the same, tighten that up with a 7-millimeter socket or a screwdriver.
After you're done, you're gonna wanna check the transmission fluid level. Start the vehicle, let it run. Pull this dipstick out, wipe it off. And there's two areas right here. This is the hashmarks where the fluid level should be when it's hot, and when it's cold, should be down here. You can top off the fluid with the appropriate fluid - get that information from your owner's manual - and adjust accordingly.
