  1. step : Removing the Glove Box (0:21)
    • Press the two hinge pins toward the center of the box to unlock the hinges
    • Unhook the glove box from the pins
    • Unclip the tether
  2. step : Removing the Dashboard Trim (1:20)
    • Remove the four Phillips screws along the top
    • Remove the two Phillips screws along the bottom
    • Pop out the rocker panel side trims on either side
    • Pry out the trim from the clips
    • Turn the bulb counterclockwise to disconnect it from the trim
    • Disconnect the trunk switch
    • Remove the trim
  3. step : Removing the Blower Motor (3:01)
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors
    • Remove the Phillips screws from the blower motor
    • Press the tabs around the assembly
    • Pry the motor down
    • Unclip the harness from the motor
    • Remove the motor
  4. step : Preparing the Blower Motor (5:42)
    • Transfer the flex hose from the blower motor over
    • Transfer the clip over to the new blower motor
    • Remove the Phillips screws from the resistor
    • Insert the resistor to the new motor
    • Tighten the Phillips screws to the resistor
    • Transfer the protective rubber cap
  5. step : Installing the Blower Motor (7:00)
    • Clip the blower motor into place
    • Clip the harness to the motor
    • Tighten the Phillips screws to the blower motor
    • Connect the electrical connectors
  6. step : Installing the Dashboard Trim (10:15)
    • Turn the light clockwise into the glove box
    • Connect the switch connector
    • Line up the clips on the dashboard trim with the slots on the dash
    • Press the trim into the dash so it clicks
    • Press on the rocker panel side trims
    • Tighten the six Phillips screws to the trim
  7. step : Installing the Glove Box (12:15)
    • Connect the tether to the glove box
    • Slide the glove box to the hinge
    • Press the two hinge pins into their slots

Hello,have a 2004 max.starts and idle good ,will run at 35mph start shutting down what's the reason?

BEST ANSWER: There could be mutliple reasons that this is occuring. We recommend having it diagnosed by a reputable shop to ensure a first time successful replacement. It could be wiring to the motor overheating, or wiring being loose.
