This was an inexpensive way to repair my broken mirror glass which was damaged by a foul baseball The mirror fit perfectly in the instructions were clear But I would make two comments: The old broken mirror glass made a real mess when removing it. It was like working with Styrofoam that gets charged up and flies around. Tiny chips of glass and dust went flying as I try to remove my old mirror. I would also recommend dry fitting the glass into the frame before removing the adhesive covering. Practice placing it from either edge to see what works best for you. I simply removed the adhesive covering and tried to place the mirror and I was off by a very small amount such that one edge of the mirror did not fit withIn The bracket. So it's not perfectly flat on that side. The tape is so sticky I could not remove and re-stick the glass.

It arrived quickly. It was exactly what I needed. Heated glass mirror for replacement in a Chevy Avalanche drivers door. I watched the 1AAuto u tube video on how to replace it. Getting the old one off was harder than puttting the new one in! But I did and spent 35-40 dollars which saved me hundreds compared to the dealership! Gave me the confidence to go on to replace my broken factory speakers!

The customer service was great. Install was not hard but instructions were lacking. It was not the same product shown on website. It was more of a fits most type part. The mirror glass its self has, for lack of better words, a wave to it. But it works. All and all I am pleased.

Works fine, was easy to install, delivered quickly The glass is clear but has an ever slight distortion (wave) to it Headlights in mirror seem incredibly bright compared to my old mirror.

This mirror glass has a definite distortion to it, and the plastic backing is also inferior. There is a ball-and-socket type clip in the center which broke as I gently pushed it into place. Not sure how long this is going to hold up, as it's only being held on now by the little actuator arms. Lesson learned; next time I will buy the whole mirror assembly from the competition for just a few more bucks and save myself the frustration of disassembly and re-assembly.

Very happy with my A1 auto mirror replacement! There is a tiny bit of distortion that doesnt effect my safety and rear view vision! Price was nice to the pocket compared to replacing the whole assembly it self!
Decent mirror but does not use the OEM mount for some reason.

What I received was not what was in the video. In the video, you get a mirror that snaps into the OEM bracket. This is what the TRQ non-heated version did (which I mistakenly ordered first). That was a great fit. But this heated version requires you to remove the old mirror AND the circular plate it mounts to to use the 4 "claws" on the mirror's motor to hold it on. Which, could be ok if it did easily pop up. I learned then when I snapped the mirror back into place from the folded position. Why it was done differently for this version is beyond me. So, I returned it.

Essentially I had to prize the old one off as it is glued very well on. I did end up breaking the glass but that was why I was replacing it anyway. Look on You tube. There are some good videos on how to do it. Perhaps an hours work? Old one off . New one on. Patience! I am not a mechanic. I am mommy! But saved soooo much money doing it myself.

Angle the mirror in such a way as to be able to gently pry off the old one. It will snap right off then the NEW one snaps back in to a "socket" so to speak. I used a flat tip screw driver with some black electrical tape wrapped around the tip so I wouldn't scratch anything.

Im pretty sure that the mirror is attached to a plastic frame with adhesive. The frame attaches to the mirror housing with clips. First cover the broken sections of mirror glass with packing tape to minimize your mess. Use safety glasses and gloves. Tiny shards of mirror glass will fly. Check the replacement parts to determine where the existing adhesive is positioned. Then heat the adhesive contact points with a hair dryer And peel off the old glass. Once the glass is off, youll be able to see how the bracket fits in the housing. When replacing the glass, do a few practice tries without the adhesive to position the glass. There is a tiny lip at the edge of the bracket frame and the glass is perfectly sized to fit within it. I placed my glass just a hair too far from this lip so that the other edge rests upon the lip on the other side, so that its not perfectly flat. Although, it doesnt affect the mirror reflection.

Thank you for your inquiry. This mirror will have the backing plate included, so you will need to remove the original mirror with the original backing plate still attached. That backing plate is essentially clipped on to the motor inside the mirror housing, you will want to use the power adjusting feature to tilt the glass down or up so you can get good enough leverage on one side, and use the right amount of force to unclip the backing plate from its attach point in the housing.
