Bought this for my 2007 Mercedes C280. The stealership wanted $1700.00 to replace the fuel pump and sending unit when only the fuel pump was bad. Wasn't falling for that. The pump fits in the space and wiring harness connections are correct. It pumps fuel on command and reports the fuel level info to ECU, but it wasn't a "direct" replacement. Had to buy a little piece of 1/2" ID Tygon hose, a 1/2" x 1/4" hose barb adapter and some hose clamps to connect the supply line to the OEM hose on the accumulator (fuel sending unit on driver side).. Also put a couple of 3/8" nylon hose barb elbows on the return lines to keep them from flopping out of the bowl.
Unit stopped working 10 days after installing....

The fuel pump module I ordered was substandard. The plastic body was thin and cracked in several places when installing it, eventhough only slight hand pressure was applied. Due to my circumstances, I was forced to use the old Mercedes housing and the new pump and screen. This probably negates a return. A supposed quality part should not disintegrate in your hand. This company should review their suppliers for quality, as it will eventually harm their reputation and bottom line. On the positive side,the shipping was very fast.

Why did the wire harness not connect with the fuel pump sending unit, and why doesnt the hoses on the original fuel sending unit not fit this fuel pump? My car is a 2007 Mercedes c280 4matic 4DR
