Mazda 3 5 Strut & Spring Assembly Front Pair TRQ SCA56951 - 1ASFK00753

Part Details

  • Quantity: Pair
  • Front or Rear Location: Front

In the past, replacing struts required specialized tools to compress, remove and transfer the old spring and mount.  Pre-assembled with all new parts, our complete strut and spring assemblies make this job much quicker and easier for the do-it-yourself mechanic.

Each complete strut & spring assembly contains:

  • Upper Strut Mount
  • Strut Bearing
  • Coil Spring
  • Boot & Bumper Kit
  • Gas-charged Strut

Loaded strut & spring assemblies allow for a quicker, safer install than bare struts.  No spring compressor required!

Trouble-Free Install

Includes the matched parts needed. New components over reused parts provide a better ride and save you from having to repair again.

Matched Parts

Not all shocks and struts are manufactured the same.  Mixing and matching can result in ride quality issues and decrease the life of the parts.

Saves Time & Money

Over buying the parts individually, or having to search different parts that are correct for your vehicle (because we did it for you!)

Nice strut for the price
The struts came exactly when they said they would. My issue is that the clip for the brake line was to small and needed to mess with it to get the line to fit. Also the part that slides into the hub was crooked and needed to be adjusted to fit. Other than that the struts were a great replacement and the ride quality is nice.

It's a match plus Quick shipment and Great Videos.
Parts lined up with factory parts and installed per the video once I figured out how to get the center piece to line up correctly. 2nd side went a lot faster. Made a fabulous difference on the car.

Mazda’s 5 shock strut install
I am not a mechanic but do my own break jobs etc... the first side took me 2 hours and the second side took me 1 hour. Not bad at all. 1a had easy video to follow. Not sure if this helped but I sprayed all areas with penatrating oil 4 days before and then the day of. Thanks!!

Great service and delivery
The Shock Strut assembly is high quality and arrived in advance of the expected date. The only issue is on the bracket that holds the brake line the diameter of the slot is TOO SMALL for the brake line fitting that accepts the metal plate clip to hold the line to the bracket, so I had to use other method to secure. It is NOT the same as the original equipment.
The video ought to mention to be careful the CV strut does not get dislodged so it is too long when you try to insert the strut into the AArm.

Near Perfect!
These are a great replacement, perfect fit, excellent installation guide on the site page. Faster than quoted shipping and a near perfect experience. The only issue I had is the brake line hose bracket. We could not get the fitting and clamp to fit and even double checked it on the originals. The opening is too small for it to fit. No big deal, we ran the line through the slot, it is not clamped or snug but really cannot go anywhere or be damaged by anything.

Overall everything was good. Shipping was faster than the estimated time. These installed with minimal issues. The space for the brake line is smaller than the original but was easy to adapt.

Does this work with the 17" wheel or only the 15"?
Keith J on Aug 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I been using these struts in my mazda 3, I have 16 " winter set of rims and tires and my summer set are 17" rims and tires. Im pretty sure you can use these struts with the 15" as well.
Good day, just to make completely sure here, i am looking for 2 complete (with coil springs included) front strut units sold in one package for a mazda 5. Would this post be apropriate please?
Vingo P on Oct 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, those are complete sets, not too hard of a job, just be careful with the CV axels when you push those down. Had them on our 5 for over a year now and are working fine. The top plate will rotate I'd needed.
Hey guys just got a mazda 5 2010 and I’m sure I need struts I her a clunking noise from the front end, previous owner replaced them with mazda 3 struts but apparently mazda 3 and 5 are comparable? I’m wondering if these are strictly for the mazda 5? And if it’s sold in pair thanks guys
Victor on Feb 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Not sure, I bought mine for a 2005 Mazda 3 which is perfect fit. Don’t know if that will be the same for your 2010 Mazda 5.
