How To Replace Power Window Switch 2000-02 Chevy Suburban

T20 Driver

1. Removing the Switch Panel

Pry up the switch panel by hand Disconnect the door lock wiring harness Disconnect the window switch wiring harnesses Disconnect the mirror switch wiring harness Remove the two T20 Torx bolts Pry the top of the switch panel with a flat blade screwdriver Remove the switch panel

2. Installing the New Switch Panel

Push the switch panel in the trim Replace and tighten the two T20 Torx bolts Connect the door lock wiring harness Connect the window switch wiring harnesses Connect the mirror switch wiring harness Push in the switch panel to the door panel

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the driver side switch pack on this 2002 Chevy Suburban. The items you'll need for this include a new power window switch pack from 1AAuto.com and a flat blade screwdriver.

Pry up on your switch panel and lift it forward and out. Then pry out on this tab, pull the harness free, and then push the tabs on these harnesses and pull them free. Then remove these two T20 Torx bolts. We'll just fast-forward as Don does this. Now pry out at the top of the switch panel and just pull the panel down and out.

Take your new switch panel and push the top end in first. Then push the back ends down in, and replace those two T20 torx bolts. Reconnect your harnesses. Then push the back end to your switch panel in first, and then push down the front and you're all set.

Well, you can't beat the price but I am not sure that this one matches the original. It plugs in and fits the same but it lights up and the original does not. Also, the window lock switch does not have the red band on it, which is not a big deal. However, I think I have a broken wire or bad ground as the switch and the new motor didn't work. I haven't found it yet and and am loosing patience. I may be returning the switch and the motor once I figure it out. Thanks.

Received the first switch and the U and L toggle switch was upside down. ha Second switch was sent out as replacement and the driver side toggle did not function. Third switch on its way so we'll see how this goes. Have ordered new grill, tail lights, head lights etc from 1 AAuto and have been totally satisfied. This has been the only issue but their customer service and prompt replacement are second to none. Love the how-to video's as well. Mike

Drivers side master switch

The install was easy and the fit was good. BUT the lock/unlock button is upside down ( didn't realize it before install) and the drivers side door auto down feature does not work for me. The button lowers and raises window but not auto down like advertised. I'll live with it because I don't want to take a chance getting a window stuck down which was my original issue.

Product did not function. Main window switch not working

I purchased this main switch pack to resolve a faulty lock-unlock issue with my suburban. Once the product was installed the main driver window would not work. That wasn't even my issue to start with. I attempted to contact 1A Auto for a refund only to get no response. Do not put purchase this product.

This fixed my problem with the windows not going up and down. It also fixed the issue with the door. When I turned off the truck the blower and raido would stay on when you opened the door now it shuts off. Now it works like it did before.

It works but the lumanation at night is dim than the original ones on the other doors also the consisity of the lumanation percentage differ from button to button on the unit. At least I'm able to roll down the windows.

My power locks dont work on the driver and passenger side door when the buttons are pushed. The door will automatically lock and unlock when it goes into drive and park. Could this just be that switches that need to be replaced on both sides?
