Easy repair; saved hundreds

Part arrived on time. Price was best price for exact same part. I watched several videos on the rebuild process including the one at 1A Auto. Entire process took about an hour with no special tools required. Suggestions: For me, the original bolts worked best due to a tapered tips, but not a big deal. The supplied grease was OK, but I went with a high grade bearing grease and lots of it. Also the snap ring that was supplies was a size to large. Fortunately, I had one on hand that fit. So, don't destroy the old one until you know the new one fits. Bottom line, my 4WD slips in and out of gear smoothly. And the whining and grinding noise is no more.

The bolts were of poor quality and the threads were not clean, in other words they would not go into the coupler. I? had to re-use most of the old bolts to install the coupler. The clamp for the boot was also difficult to get tight and sealed, even after folding the end over it was not as tight as it should have been. Would have preferred the own style clamp by far, at least it held the small end of the boot tight. Not sure if this clamp will keep water out of the joint, even if not submerged. I? would purchase it again but get the bolts and clamps from the dealer or another parts store.

the website to order my parts was really user friendly, the order came before the expected arrival date. the part was really easy to install. This kit saved me $600.00 that the shop wanted to charge me. I would recommend this to anyone to save money.

kit works as it should all parts were in box and fit shaft as it should no snap ring in kit so be sure you save your old one

This is a rebuild kit for the front end of the driveshaft, so that should be the transfer case side!

Thank you for the inquiry. This is going to be for the front portion of the front driveshaft. The other repair kit would be for the rear portion of the front driveshaft. We currently do not have that front rear rebuild kit.

This kit is for the FRONT driveshaft. The CV portion connects to the transfer case and IS able to be re-built. The other end of the front driveshaft, the U-joint section, which connects to the front axle IS NOT able to be rebuilt. If the U-joint is broken, you will need to order a new FRONT drive shaft assembly. The rear driveshaft also has a CV joint which connects to the transfer case and is also able to be rebuilt with the CV rebuild kit. The other end which connects to the axle has a U-joint which IS able to be rebuilt by install a new U-joint. I hope this helps everyone.

If it has the quadra drive 2 transfer case it will only drive in 4 low without front driveshaft.
