Good Axle Shafts
I bought these axle shafts because I replaced my front differential and these allowed me to keep my ABS system. I ordered my front diff from ECGS with a welded on truss, axle sleeves, axle seals, and C-Gussets. These shafts still fit. The right one went in easily. The left one took some massaging. My instinct was to force it in; but, then I realized the rubber boot was hanging up with the metal band; so, I backed it out and took care of the rubber boot as I brought it in. I even made a video torquing the left axle shaft. These axle shafts work so well, I have already recommended them to another Jeep friend.

BEST ANSWER: My car is 96 Grabd Cherokee V8 with all wheel quadtrack. I bought axles, hubs and beari ngs. By accident I initially bought just hubs and bearings , thinking axles were included. When they arrived and recognizing my error I ordered axles too. In a few days the axles arrived and easy assembly followed. Works like it's supposed too. Next I am ordering a complete set of bushings and whatever else is needed to finish rebuilding the steering. Prices are very good and the free shipping is also a nice feature 3-4 days. It is was my f8rst dealings with 1A auto and they are now my official provider.

BEST ANSWER: These axles are for a Dana 30 - 27 Splines. Most grands, prior to 96 came with Dana 25's and 96 some grands started coming out with Dana 30's. In fact, I'm finding that in 95 1/2 is when they made the switch. It looks like prior to that, they were using U-Joint style axles; so, if you have cv axles, you're close. I'm finding that some Dana 30's came with optional 30 spline axles; so, from what I can tell, if you count your splines and find that you have 27 splines; then, yes, this will fit your Jeep. If you have 30 spline axles; then, this is not for you. There are videos of guys upgrading to 30 splines; but, several things of caution, axles are much easier and cheaper to replace then carriers. On the trail, guys replace axles; but, no one replaces carriers, in fact, there are horror-story videos of guys having to remove their front drive shafts and both front axles, just to get home; and, they could've avoided that by keeping with 27 spline axles. When Dana upgraded some axles to 30 splines, they also upgraded the pinion and carrier. Think of the axles as a fuse. You want the axles to fail before the carrier or pinion; so, if you have 27 spline axles, stick with them; and, these are the axles for you. Happy Trails!
