Jeep xj 1996 death wobble fix
Had bad death wobbles. Found this kit for the price of 2 ball joints from auto zone!!! Install was fairly easy. I do wish there was a feature to choose greasable ball joints and tie rods with a zerk fitting. I wasn’t aware that they were pre greased I still packed the rubber with grease. Besides that it’s been great, no more death wobbles and the front suspension and steering was greatly improved. I would definitely recommend this kit to other Jeep owners.

Worked well.
Overall a great buy. Can't beat the price. But I did have an issue with the sway bar links. The stock ones have ball joint at the top. The ones in the kit are not an actual ball joint. When I installed mine and lowered my suspension back down it bent both links. Not a huge deal. Picked OE up for 27 a piece at NAPA. Recommend this package.

Death wobble cure!
This kit was excellent! Great price, speedy shipping, and after a brake cleaner bath and some red enamel paint it looks and handles wonderful. Had to wait for warmer weather to install it.

Wrong size bushings
The bushings on the control arms were too wide. I had to grind 1/16" off the center sleeve. Not a happy camper!

Will this work on a 92 xj with a 4" lift and 31" tires?

This kit will not work with the 4" lift.

The track bar will be too short and the sway bar links will be too short as well. Let me know if you have any follow up questions. Happy to help!

besides the the sway bar links would all this fit on a 1996 grand cherokee that has a 3.5 inch lift?
michael h on Nov 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, however owning and wheeling a 3.5" JGC, Id recommend beefier steering components. More-so if your stuffing 33" tires in there and trimming fenders.
Do they come with grease fittings?
John W on Apr 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Some components have the zerk fittings
I have a 1993 Jeep Cherokee sport 5 speed manual. Stock everything. My truck runs rear, 2 wheel drive by default, but has the option for the 4x4 drive "Part time". Is this kit going to be an issue since you already stated below "it won't work with 2 wheel drive"?
