ALL CAME TOGETHER AT THE END OF IT
WHILE THE ENTIRE THING SEAMED SCARY, AND IT WAS.
THE TECH HELP FROM THESE GUYS WAS AWESOME.
THEY KNEW ABOUT LITTLE THINGS I DID NOT UNDERSTAND. GREAT BUNCH OF TECHS,
THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PROGRAM, REPROGRAM, RECOGNIZE AND RELEARN.
ALSO, WHILE I DID NOT HAVE A CHIP IN THE KEY ITSELF, THERE IS SOMETHING IN "THEFT FEATURE"
SCARY BUT THEY GOT ME TURNING KEY AND CAR STARTING.

2002 Chevy Impala security light on won't start .. will the ignition switch and new key fix it?
Chris F on Mar 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: If your original key is really warn down, the tumblers and contacts inside the switch are probably shot as well. Replacing this fixed my problem. Still have the theft light on, for some reason. But starts just fine, every time. Now use the original key for the door, and new key for the ignition.
My ignition is locked what's the best way to get the key to turn?
Andrew B on Oct 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hello. This is strictly from my experience. I hope this helps. The tumblers may be worn out. I had to replace the lock cylinder on mine. I bought the lock cylinder with the set from 1Aauto, because I didn't have time to reset the tumblers. The lock cylinder, ignition switch, and key set from 1Aauto is a great deal!!! If you bought the parts separately from the parts stores, you'd be thowing away money. Watched the video. That's what I did. Again, I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
