Fantastic price!
I checked several local and online shops for this part and no one beat the price of 1AAuto, not to mention free shipping! Product received as expected, no trouble installing, works like a charm!

The Berries
This part was the berries! It was what I needed to make it go.
I got it very fast. 1A Auto shipped the same day and I got it in 2 more. That's called 'kickin' it up here. I did all of the installation I could, but I had to get my son to make the under dash connection for me. I'm too fat to get into some places.
This part, and a couple more, made it all work again.
Not to forget...The price was lower than ANYONE ELSE!
Thank You,
RnJ Clark

My speedo was wacky at times (100mph standing still) truck would stay stuck driving in 3rsd gear, shift indicator light would go out. - - - all because this switch went bad. This replacement went right in, fits perfect & works perfect, & at a much better price!! It takes a bit of work & time to swap out, works great now!!

Happy Camper
I received the new cable Saturday much sooner than expected and much appreciated as it allowed me to install it Sunday afternoon. The installation video in conjunction with the price was the two primary reasons I purchased from 1A. The installation went just as described except that it was not necessary to remove the steering wheel. I believe the old switch was intermittent, so I haven't had enough opportunity to determine if the switch solved my problem. The cable matched perfectly.

Does this switch come with a new key?
Jordan on Oct 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This is just the actual ignition switch. If you're needing the keyed part as well that's usually called the ignition lock cylinder.
Will the 96 chevy k1500 ignition switch fit in a 98 k1500? Vehicle isn't starting and looking to do it myself cheap.
Seanw on Mar 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This will not mount on your 1998 model K1500. There are wiring differences, or connection differences.
The symptoms are: Speedometer and tachometer operate intermittently, and their malfunction coincides with the intermittent function of the automatic transmission. In other words, when the gauges fail, the transmission stays in drive (high) and does not start out in low then upshift. When the gauges work, so does the transmission. The problem seems to be electrical. Is the ignition switch suspect?
Randy B on Jan 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: From the sounds of your issues, it appears that the issue would be more related to a vehicle speed sensor, or another piece of the electrical system. We do recommend having the vehicle diagnosed as there could be a fault towards the instrument cluster itself or the parts related.
