Fantastic price!
I checked several local and online shops for this part and no one beat the price of 1AAuto, not to mention free shipping! Product received as expected, no trouble installing, works like a charm!

The Berries
This part was the berries! It was what I needed to make it go. I got it very fast. 1A Auto shipped the same day and I got it in 2 more. Thats called kickin it up here. I did all of the installation I could, but I had to get my son to make the under dash connection for me. Im too fat to get into some places. This part, and a couple more, made it all work again. Not to forget...The price was lower than ANYONE ELSE! Thank You, RnJ Clark

My speedo was wacky at times (100mph standing still) truck would stay stuck driving in 3rsd gear, shift indicator light would go out. - - - all because this switch went bad. This replacement went right in, fits perfect & works perfect, & at a much better price!! It takes a bit of work & time to swap out, works great now!!

Happy Camper
I received the new cable Saturday much sooner than expected and much appreciated as it allowed me to install it Sunday afternoon. The installation video in conjunction with the price was the two primary reasons I purchased from 1A. The installation went just as described except that it was not necessary to remove the steering wheel. I believe the old switch was intermittent, so I havent had enough opportunity to determine if the switch solved my problem. The cable matched perfectly.

This part, with some other electrical parts, fixed my issues. My truck has been in the family for over 20 years. I will continue using 1AAuto for future repairs.

Perfect Match and great savings
This part was a perfect match and at a third of the cost from local auto stores. The videos provided are quite helpful also.

Man, everything snapped right together nice. Clean install. The removal and install videos were really helpful. I had a no start condition with frozen guages, and when it would run, it would cut out when lowering the tilt wheel. Bang! Problem solved. Everything up and running great! Price was right too.....

Zeb S October 18, 2016

Brian F October 18, 2016 sit under where your key at.

Tad J October 28, 2016
Joshua M February 20, 2017
No, this switch does not have a key.
ANTHONY C F August 26, 2017
U have to use the cars key tumbler
Joe L September 30, 2017
No this install below the actual key switch
T R January 8, 2018
The symptoms are: Speedometer and tachometer operate intermittently, and their malfunction coincides with the intermittent function of the automatic transmission. In other words, when the gauges fail, the transmission stays in “drive (high) and does not start out in low then upshift. When the gauges work, so does the transmission. The problem seems to be electrical. Is the ignition switch suspect?
Randy B January 4, 2017
From the sounds of your issues, it appears that the issue would be more related to a vehicle speed sensor, or another piece of the electrical system. We do recommend having the vehicle diagnosed as there could be a fault towards the instrument cluster itself or the parts related.
Alex P January 4, 2017
Will the 96 chevy k1500 ignition switch fit in a 98 k1500? Vehicle isnt starting and looking to do it myself cheap.
Sean W March 2, 2017
This will not mount on your 1998 model K1500. There are wiring differences, or connection differences.
Alex P March 2, 2017
Will the 96 k1500 fit a 97 k1500 (AZIS00005) and if not do you carry the one I need?
Anthony P April 4, 2018
This part is not listed to fit your vehicle. We may have a part that is listed to fit! Please search our site using your vehicle info and then choose the appropriate category. All the parts we carry are guaranteed to fit the vehicle they are listed for. Thank you!
Peter M April 4, 2018
Does this product come with keys?
Chris M April 7, 2018
has no place for a key so, no
S K April 7, 2018
no, just the switch, connector, and wires
Lonny R April 7, 2018
No, this wiring harness is an internal piece inside the steering column. Was getting weird intermittent error, loss of speedo, tach and erratic shift. Replacing fixed all.
P V April 7, 2018
No. If you just replace this switch, your key will still work unless you also replace the ignition lock cylinder. If you buy a new ignition lock cylinder it comes with new keys.
