Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to remove and install a rear speaker on a Dodge Ram. The items you'll need include a 10mm socket and ratchet with an extension, and a Phillips screwdriver.
Open up your door. You'll need to remove the inside door handle. There's a 10mm bolt right in here. Remove that. As it's coming off, just pull it right out with the bolt in it. Remove this Phillips screw. Lift up and off. You can bring it up and out. There's a tab right on top of your window switch harness. Pull that off.
Three Phillips screws hold the speaker in place. Remove them. Now remove, pull the speaker out. There's a harness on the speaker. Just press the little tab and disconnect. Pull your harness lead out.
Reconnect. It is magnetic, so it'll want to get stuck on the door. Put it in place. Start your three screws, and tighten them up.
We're going to remove the door lock bezel. Just push in on these tabs, and push it up and off. The two tabs on the bottom, you just kind of preliminarily line up and rest right there. Then, as you bring the panel close, connect to your harness. Push your door lock locked. Push the panel on, and then down into place. Unlock your door. Put the bezel back in place. Reinstall the Phillips screw that holds the panel. Reinstall your door handle. Have your wrench lined up. Basically, work it into place, and tighten it up.
