Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, I'm going to show you how to remove and reinstall the radio in this 2008 Dodge Ram. It's similar for many Dodge Rams, and the only items you'll need are a plastic removal tool or a flat blade screwdriver with some painter's tape on the head, as well as a Phillips screwdriver.

To remove your center dash trim, we're going to use a flat blade screwdriver with some painter's tape on it or a non-marring plastic ply tool if you have one. Feel around the edges. Pry out until you get a tab to pop. Carefully move along and pop out the rest of the tabs until you can pull out the whole panel. Move it around your shifter column and lay it out flat. Remove our accessory power, and the passenger heated seats switch.

Push down on the tab to release the power sliding windows switch, the two connectors for the climate control panel, your traction control, driver's heated seat, cigarette lighter, and your four-wheel drive selector.

Now with the center dash panel removed, you can remove your storage cubby and your radio with a number 2 Phillips screwdriver. Remove your antenna connector by pulling out. Undo the two connectors on the back of the radio.

With the radio out of the way, you can remove the cubby. With all this out of the way, you can install an aftermarket fit kit and stereo or a new OEM unit. We're going to reinstall our OEM unit.

Line up the tabs on the back of the cubby with the holes on the dash and the two Phillips head screws. Your factory stereo has a little connector on the left and a larger connector on the right. Pop your antenna back into the round hole. Slide it back into the dash and reinstall the four Phillips head screws.

Reconnect all your connectors. Each connector is different so you shouldn't have a problem with crossing them over or connecting them in the wrong spot. Slide your dash behind the gear selector, line it up, and snap it back into place.

Thanks for tuning in. We hope this video helped you out. Next time you need parts for your car, please visit 1AAuto.com. Also check out our other helpful how-to and diagnosis videos.
