Learn how to do this easy repair yourself with this how-to video. Watch and follow the steps to replace the engine air filter
Brought to you by 1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the Internet.
In this video we show you how to remove and reinstall the engine air filter on this 2000 Ford Mustang with a 3.8 liter V6. The V8 engine is a very similar process. It is pretty simple, designed that way, and no tools are necessary.
Changing your air filter is a pretty easy process. There's two clips: one here and one's down below. Pull this part back and lift it up. Now, you take your air filter out from the back.
The new air filter from 1A Auto goes right in. Make sure it's seated down in there correctly. Push this back and down into place. Lock your clasps there. If you do put a K&N filter in, make sure you put a sticker on, so that any service technician knows not to just throw it away, that you can reuse it.
