Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we're going to show you how to remove and reinstall the inner door panel on the passenger side of this 2015 Chevy Tahoe LT. This may be a little different for the other trim levels as the interior door panels could differ slightly.

For this particular vehicle, the items you're going to need are a small pick or a flat-blade screwdriver, as well as a 7mm socket, ratchet, and extension.

Using your small hooked pick or flat blade screwdriver, remove the trim panel inside the interior door handle. One 7mm screw under here, another trim panel inside of the actual door handle, here. Move that, two more 7mm screws as well as two at the very bottom of the panel down here.

Use your 7mm socket wrench and an extension to remove the five 7mm bolts from the door panel. Pop out the bottom of the trim panel, lift up, release the tab on the door latch cable, pull back, release the cable from that hook, bring it around, remove the ball from the latch. Lift up on the red safety tab. Push down and lift the handle. Snap it all the way up. Remove the harness from the door. Remove the weatherstrip from the top of the interior door panel. Using a small flat-blade screwdriver, push down on the tabs to release these metal clips. Repeat these steps to remove the remaining four metal clips.

Install the hooked part of the metal clip into these slots on the inner door panel. Reinstall the weather strip with this portion of the felt facing into the glass, and the slotted side is facing up. Reinstall the electrical connector for the interior door harness. Lower the latch. Click the red safety back into place. Insert the ball into the door latch. Pull out on the outer cable. Lock it into to place. Pop out the door lock. Insert it into the tab. Reinstall the upper portion of the door panel into the weather strip. Pop the rest of the clips in on the perimeter of the panel. Reinstall all five of your 7mm door panel bolts. Reinstall the plastic caps into their proper location, inside the door latch and the handle.

Thanks for tuning in. We hope this video helped you out. Next time you need parts for your car, please visit 1AAuto.com. Also check out our other helpful how-to and diagnosis videos.
