How to Check and Fill Engine Oil 2008-12 Ford Escape

1. step 1 :Checking the Oil 0:29

   • Pull the lever near the footrest to release the hood
   • Push the lever underneath the hood toward the passenger side to raise the hood and use the prop rod to keep it lifted
   • Pull out the dipstick and wipe it off with a rag
   • Reinsert the dipstick
   • Pull out the dipstick and check to see whether the oil level is between the two hash marks
   • Reinsert the dipstick

2. step 2 :Adding the Oil 2:04

   • Remove the fill cap
   • Use a funnel to add the oil
   • Replace the cap
