  1. step : Removing the Wheel (0:40)
    • Loosen the lug nut covers
    • Pry off the center cap with a flat blade screwdriver
    • Loosen the lug nuts with the vehicle on the ground
    • Raise the vehicle with a floor jack
    • Secure the vehicle on jack stands
    • Remove the lug nuts
    • Pull off the wheel
  2. step : Removing the Tie Rod (1:00)
    • Measure from the boot to the outer tie rod and record it
    • Loosen the 19mm nut on the tie rod with a 19mm wrench
    • Remove the cotter pin with pliers
    • Remove the castle nut with a 17mm socket
    • Hit the knuckle with a hammer
    • Twist the tie rod out
  3. step : Installing the New Tie Rod (2:13)
    • Twist on the new tie rod
    • Push the outer tie rod down into the knuckle
    • Replace the castle nut
    • Push the cotter pin into place and bend the ends in separate directions with pliers
    • Measure and double check the distance of the boot to the tie rod
    • Turn the tie rod joint with the 14mm wrench to adjust the distance
    • Replace and tighten the 19mm nut
  4. step : Reattaching the Wheel (3:15)
    • Slide the wheel into place
    • Start the lug nuts by hand
    • Tighten the lug nuts preliminarily
    • Lower the vehicle to the ground
    • Tighten the lug nuts to between 100 foot-pounds in a crossing or star pattern
    • Reattach the center cap

Mismatched Outer Rods
When I purchased this kit, I had a basic idea of what to expect: a set of two inner tie rods, a set of two outer tie rods, and that they would fit my 97 Civic EX. This kit does meet that criteria. But, the outer tie rods are mismatched; they work as replacements, but do not match each-other. One, lets call it A, is like the photo, the other, B, is smaller, with some blue lining on the grease joint. A has a castellated nut (as to be expected), B has a locking nut instead. They arrived in different packaging, but the same package. As grease joint, the pouch so to speak, was disconnected from the arm, and grease was all over the place. I wasnt aware that grease joints should be able to separate from the arm like this; this one pops off with barely any force. Bs was sealed, at least. Neither had grease inserts (which is fine, and is how they are portrayed in the photo, just a heads up here). Being as they are mismatched, no matter the diligence executed in the replacement, they would not be in the same spot as the old outer tie rods: the front alignment was 3.5+ degrees off! I expected a little variation with the new parts in comparison to the stock parts, this is typical. I was not expecting there to be a variation between the two NEW tie rods, that were being sold AS A SET. Whoever packaged this should probably be put back to moving boxes, instead of filling boxes. Do they work as replacements? Yes, everything is right with the world again, and I dont have to worry about my tie rods anymore. But in hindsight, I should have spent the extra what, twenty dollars?, and gone with Moog. The inner tie rods matched each-other, and are acceptable, albeit thinner than the stock ones and the provided nut was more than half the width of the stock nut (which was reused). Do yourself a favor and get your parts elsewhere.

I ordered these parts for my 97 Honda Civic came on time and was a matching set, I had one tie rod strip when I put the bolt on but the company contacted me and sent me a new one good parts and service at a good price

They dont have grease gun fittings, so they have to be pregreased.
