Good part
This replacement part fixed a problem I had with my 1999 Honda Accord. Been running for 3 months now without a problem. The control module says for Tec Distributor but I used mine with a Hitachi and it fit and works fine.

Is this the part for shifting. My transmission is shifting funny from 1st to 2nd will this help fix the problem?

No it wont. This is for ignition, aka spark. It will have nothing to do with your transmission.

Hi Chris...This part is not for transmission shifting...It is an ignition control module located in the distributor...When this part fail, the car just stops, When the ignition control modular cools down, the car starts again. Hope this info can help.
