Our electrical and electronic parts are subject to strict quality control testing. Please ensure proper diagnosis of this item before purchasing as the item cannot be returned once installed or plugged in.

This fuel pump includes a new electrical connector harness. You will need to remove your existing electrical connector and install the new connector provided in order to install your new fuel pump (instructions are included with the pump).

This fuel pump is not a universal fit item. Because your vehicle’s original connector is prone to failure due to corrosion, cracking, loose pin housings, and wire crimp issues, the OE manufacturer has changed the shape of the connector, requiring the install of a new electrical connector during fuel pump service.

  1. step : Depressurize fuel system (1:30)
    • With the car running, open the hood and access the fuse center.
    • Pull out the fuel pump relay which is #18 in this car.
    • After awhile your car will stop running because it runs out of fuel.
  2. step : Disconnect battery (2:20)
    • Use an 8mm wrench to disconnect the negative battery cable
  3. step : Disconnect and remove fuel tank (2:30)
    • Spray the bolts on the straps holding the fuel tank with penetrating oil.
    • Loosen up the clamp at the top of the fuel neck.
    • Grab onto that hose and twist it free and pull it off.
    • Unplug the connectors by pulling out the safety tabs.
    • Unclip the green clip behind the fuel tank by prying the tab and pinching to disconnect the line.
    • Make sure you have a catch pan ready because this will leak fuel.
    • Repeat on the upper line with the blue tab.
    • Use a screwdriver to help if it’s difficult to reach.
    • Disconnect the rest of the hoses.
    • Loosen the heat shield between the exhaust and the tank.
    • Support the tank and remove the straps.
  4. step : Remove assembly (8:03)
    • Use your needle nose pliers to disconnect the locking tab at the top of the connector.
    • Unplug the wiring from the fuel pump assembly.
    • Use a chisel and hammer to remove the locking ring.
    • Pull the fuel pump assembly up and out.
    • Remove the old O ring
  5. step : Install new fuel pump (10:06)
    • Put in the new O ring
    • Place the new assembly in and lock the locking ring in place by turning it clockwise into the brackets.
    • Secure with hammer and chisel.
    • Plug in the new lead and use wire taps to connect the wiring with the old square ended lead.
    • New large black lead connects to the old black lead.
    • New thin black lead connects to old black and white lead.
    • Purple and purple leads connect as do the grey ones.
  6. step : Reinstall the fuel tank (13:49)
    • Jack the tank back up.
    • Bolt the straps back in, tightening the bolts with a hand wrench.
    • Reconnect all the harnesses.
    • Reconnect the big tube.
    • Reconnect all the fuel lines, remembering to remove the little green line protectors.
    • Secure the heat shield.

Fuel Pump 2000 Chevy Blazer 4.3 4wd
Overall decent fuel pump. I installed it exactly this time a year ago. And it's still operational. The downside is the fuel sending into is not of high quality and burned out on me a 2 months ago. So I have run out of fuel a few times now.. Not knowing where my fuel level is at.

fit perfectly
Perfect fit and was exactly as described. Would have given 5 stars except for shipping. Felt shipping was to long. I ordered it and it didn't get shipped for several days which is not good when you need the part.

How is the reliability of this pump? I interested in buying a pump that will last at least 5 yrs.. Thanks in advance for your reply.

BEST ANSWER: It worked just fine but no one can guarantee 5 years on a pump. Be sure your gas is up to pumping lavel always and not to get it too low as gas lubricates the pump. Running a dry pump is asking for an early death of the pump.
What is the operating fuel pressure on this pump?
Mike W on Aug 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This pump should hold around 50 psi as that appears to be the OEM specification for the models listed.
What does limited lifetime warranty actually mean?
Mike W on Aug 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The Limited Lifetime Warranty would mean that in the event this item should fail due to manufacturing defects during intended use, we will exchange the part free of charge (excludes shipping charges) for the original purchaser. Thank you.
