Returns Note:

Our electrical and electronic parts are subject to strict quality control testing.  Once the item has been installed or plugged in, it is no longer eligible for a refund.  The item may be eligible for replacement, only if it is found to have a manufacturing defect. Before purchasing, please ensure proper diagnosis of the failed original part is performed.

This fuel pump includes a new electrical connector harness. You will need to remove your existing electrical connector and install the new connector provided in order to install your new fuel pump (instructions are included with the pump).

This fuel pump is not a universal fit item. Because your vehicle’s original connector is prone to failure due to corrosion, cracking, loose pin housings, and wire crimp issues, the OE manufacturer has changed the shape of the connector, requiring the install of a new electrical connector during fuel pump service.

Lifetime Warranty

This item is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty. In the event this item should fail due to manufacturing defects during intended use, we will exchange the part free of charge (excludes shipping charges) for the original purchaser.

    • New large black lead connects to the old black lead.
    • New thin black lead connects to old black and white lead.
    • Purple and purple leads connect as do the grey ones.

DID NOT RUN This pump did not work at all
I will never buy anything from this site again the pump was installed correctly and double checked by a mechanic and would still not run. I had to install the old pump I was updating. I am currently trying to get ahold of customer support and get my money back for this piece of junk part.

Fuel pump for Alero
The unit arrived very quickly and was installed perfectly in our Olds Alero. All that was needed was a full tank of gas to balance the float.

Fuel pump
Works great, been having for a few days. Easy to install, color match all the wires and you shouldn't have a problem. Just make sure to at least put 8 gallons in order to see the fuel gauge move up of not it will show like it's empty.

Works Okay So Far
Installed on 2004 Chevy Cavalier. It's been running okay for about a week or so. My problem was the gasket was a little big for my tank that it barley fit and the plastic top part of the pump barley fit over the gasket. This resulted in the first install being messed up and overfilling and having to do it all over again. The second time I was super careful about trying to get the best seal possible with the gasket.

I also had the gaskets keep falling out of one of the fuel lines that I thought was odd and a pain in the rear. For wiring we followed the instructions it came with that were accurate. We just had to be careful to look at the plug in the right direction as the paper. Just make sure the color wires match up in the diagram in the way you are looking at it.

1. Be very careful getting a good seal on the gasket.
2. I suggest having a 5 gallon gas can ready and a cheap hand pump to pump out as much gas as possible to make the tank as light as possible to re-install it.
3. Before re-installing the tank we plugged everything in and turn the key to make sure it spit fuel out of the line we were expecting it to.
4. Make sure you take the tap off the pump float.
5. Make sure your pump is turned enough so the float isn't under a plastic (air) piece in the tank or it will hit that as you fill up your tank and so your gauge will get stuck about halfway.

can you put an in line to bypass pump in tank?
carl e on Feb 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They may make some sort of in line pump but this isn't the one. However, I installed this pump in a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix and it was pretty easy. There was a metal cover in trunk just behind the back seat that gave easy access to fuel pump.
