Our electrical and electronic parts are subject to strict quality control testing. Please ensure proper diagnosis of this item before purchasing as the item cannot be returned once installed or plugged in.

This fuel pump includes a new electrical connector harness. You will need to remove your existing electrical connector and install the new connector provided in order to install your new fuel pump (instructions are included with the pump).

This fuel pump is not a universal fit item. Because your vehicle’s original connector is prone to failure due to corrosion, cracking, loose pin housings, and wire crimp issues, the OE manufacturer has changed the shape of the connector, requiring the install of a new electrical connector during fuel pump service.

    • Repeat on the upper line with the blue tab.
    • Use a screwdriver to help if it’s difficult to reach.
    • Disconnect the rest of the hoses.
    • Loosen the heat shield between the exhaust and the tank.

    • Place the new assembly in and lock the locking ring in place by turning it clockwise into the brackets.
    • Secure with hammer and chisel.
    • Plug in the new lead and use wire taps to connect the wiring with the old square ended lead.
    • New large black lead connects to the old black lead.
    • New thin black lead connects to old black and white lead.
    • Purple and purple leads connect as do the grey ones.

2002 Chevy 2500 fuel pump
Purchased a new fuel pump for my 2002 chevy 2500hd 6.0 and it worked great. NO instructions in the box but called and had them emailed within 5 minutes. You WILL need to rewire your harness but if you are semi mechanically inclined youll be fine. Great and friendly experience. Recommend this company.

Customer Q&A
Ask a question to 1A Auto customers who purchased the product
How often do these pumps go bad?
Sam G December 12, 2015
Hello, We have a low return rate on these parts. If installed properly you should see many years of use.
Brian F December 15, 2015
How do I determine which fuel pump I need for a 2002 chevy silverado?
Charles G March 3, 2016
If you have a gas model Silverado you only have 1 pump.
Brian F March 3, 2016
Yes only one pump but there is a fuel filter also
Sean B June 23, 2016
I believe if you look in your glovebox and look for RPO code "EVA" then you would use this fuel pump and sender. I called 1AAuto and they guided me through making sure I was getting the right one.
Dino S November 22, 2016
Where do I find the code?
Jerry K June 23, 2016
Harness codes are generally on a tag on the harness at the fuel pump/sender unit. If you cannot locate or have access at this time, you can call the GM parts department with your VIN# and get it from them
Brian F June 23, 2016
What psi is expected from this pump? My 2001 2500 requires 55-62psi according to a GM tech.
Steve T January 31, 2017
At this time we do not have the exact psi expectations, but we may confirm that our manufacturers use a supplied OEM sample to base their design off of and our pump will be within OE specifications.
Alex P February 3, 2017
Why doesnt this come with a fuel pressure sensor? And does it matter if it has it or not?
Jose S April 1, 2017
The pump is specific for models with a "TCU" harness code, which means it does not have the fuel tank pressure sensor. If you have two plugs on top of your vehicle please see our listings for "TCF" harness code for you year, make and model.
Tim K April 2, 2017
No need for a sensor on my truck.
