Honestly, I don't know the answer to that. But I have to say that if it looks similar to what you have, it's probably correct. It was perfect for my 1999 Explorer.

Probably a fake leather of sorts, but generally matched the original. The new one is a little lighter in color, but still looks nice installed

I don't know the name of the tan, but it's slightly lighter than the console of my 96 Explorer. It's noticable, but not bothersome.
