This pair of door locks fit my 1998 Ford Ranger, although a gasket of some type (not included) is needed to fill the slight gap between the lock and body. Easy to install, no tools needed except for a screwdriver or strong fingers to pry the lock holder from the inside of the door.

I ordered this door lock cylinders for my ranger pick up truck which was broken into sometime ago. I received it in a couple of days and replaced the damaged lock on the driver side door only for now. The only problem I had was tthe retaining clips opening was now too big for this replacement lock. I had to McGiver it to hold the lock firmly in place. It would help tremendously if the retaining matching clips came with the set even if the cost would then be a little higher. This would save a lot of time in replacing them. Then I could have replaced both locks with no problems. Other then that, I am happy that I can lock the driver door again. Thank you. E.

The locks were exactly like the video shows. Install was as easy as putting the key in and unlocking the vehicle. My 17 yo son did it in less than 5 minutes. Both doors. Awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't know what to expect when I ordered, but knew I needed to replace the locks because I could keep my Ranger secured. But these were perfect. It took some time getting the old one's out and installing these, but was fairly easy and simple. I can now lock my vehicle and have new keys. Thank you so much! These were a great replacement and would have been 5 stars if they had come with the gasket as well. The old gaskets deteriorate and the new locks are a loose fit without them. I had to purchase new gaskets seperately from another vendor.

I ordered the locks for my 01 Ford Ranger XLT and my only issue was that they do not come with new gaskets and my old ones were deteriorated. The only other strange issue I seem to encounter is that when I unlock the door (which thank goodness it unlocks now which is why I needed to replace the old ones) the little knob inside will drop back into the lock position when I remove the key. Of course I get around it by making sure I open the door before removing the key, but a good fix for that would be great to know. I had no install problems after watching your video.

Doesn't work that well compared to the OEM locks in a Ford Ranger. There's a lot of wiggle room in the positioning slots that keep the cylinder in place, and that makes the whole thing rotate a few degrees each time you turn the key. Still usable, but barely. I'm glad I only needed to replace the passenger side.

My best guess would be "maybe". I know the key my '97 F-350 uses is similar to an '08 Econoline key I drive at work, so it might work. I've never had a Ranger, so I couldn't say for sure, but I can say the keys themselves are similar, if that's any help.

Yes it fit perfectly. takes only a few minutes just dont drop the rod down the door. I did on one door but fished it out with a piece of bailing wire. Not a big deal

yes the cylinder can be rekeyed.. you would have to go to a locksmith to have this done.. my inquiry to a locksmith stated that the door cylinder (2 of them) would have to be keyed to the ignition cylinder due to the number of pins in the cylinder. I believe the door is somewhere around a 6 or 8 pin but the ignition cylinder is a 10 pin?? . it was around 25.00 each so i declined to have it done.
