I previously ordered a set on eBay for $55 but when it arrived, the ball joint bolt was too thick and wouldn't fit. But the 1aauto set was just a delight! when I knew control arms were needed I watched the video several of them and decided it was something I could do. I was surprised at how little they cost and thought about buying the package with the lower ball joints until I found I would need a press. Before the parts arrived I sprayed the nuts etc. also after I removed the wheel I removed the complete fender well plastic. removeing that made it a snap Took it for an alignment and all they had to do was set toe..

I came across 1aauto YouTube video in reference to the upper support arm and installation. I went to their website and found what I needed, ordered it, and received it within 3 days. The price was very reasonable and the parts fit perfect. The time I saved was well worth the little bit more that I paid to get the complete assembly. Their on line videos gave me step by step instructions on how to remove and reinstall with tips on how to make it easier. The parts showed up on time and were exactly what I needed. When I found that I had a bad upper ball joint, I also found out that it would cost me almost as much to replace a single ball joint than to replace BOTH upper control arms and get new everything in the process. The quality of the control arms I received was every bit as good or better than the originals. Even with the replacements, the Mountaineer required no alignment adjustments, other than toe.

I don't remember exact cost but I did by the pair and they were excellent quality and I swapped both out even though passenger side didn't seem to need replacing. They are still holding up great. The video showing how to install is spot on

These ball joints are sealed and pre-greased from factory. They are not serviceable.
