  1. step : Removing the Wheel (0:41)
    • Pry off the center cap with a flat blade screwdriver
    • Loosen the lug nuts with the vehicle on the ground
    • Raise the vehicle with a floor jack
    • Secure the vehicle on jack stands
    • Remove the lug nuts
    • Pull off the wheel
  2. step : Removing the Outer Tie Rod (1:13)
    • Turn the wheel by hand
    • Remove the 21mm nut from the outer tie rod
    • Thread the 21mm nut on a couple of turns
    • Hold the tie rod with an adjustable wrench
    • Loosen the tie rod adjusting nut with an adjustable wrench
    • Strike the steering knuckle with a hammer
    • Twist the 21mm nut off the tie rod
    • Measure the distance from the tie rod boot to the outer tie rod stud
    • Note that measurement
    • Twist off the outer tie rod.
  3. step : Installing the Tie Rod (2:11)
    • Twist on the outer tie rod
    • Measure the distance from the tie rod boot to the outer tie rod stud
    • This should be the same as the distance noted in Step 2
    • Move the adjusting nut as necessary
    • Push the tie rod into the wheel knuckle
    • Fasten the 21mm nut onto the tie rod
    • Tighten the 21mm nut to 111 foot-pounds of torque
    • Tighten the adjusting nut
    • Twist the grease fitting into the tie rod
    • Tighten the grease fitting with a 7mm socket and ratchet
    • Add grease to the grease fitting with a grease gun
  4. step : Reattaching the Wheel (3:34)
    • Slide the wheel into place
    • Start the lug nuts by hand
    • Tighten the lug nuts preliminarily
    • Lower the vehicle to the ground
    • Tighten the lug nuts to 120 foot-pounds in a crossing or star pattern
    • Reattach the center cap

I like everything about this product. The upper arm and outer tie rod ends worked perfectly as they should and after installed we drove from ohio to Georgia 663 miles threw the mountains and twist and turn up and down hill my truck drove better then it ever has.get down here my luck the fuel pump goes out so be satisfied with A1 s customer service and how fast u reserve ur parts and the quality I had my husaband order the fuel pump from A1 with we have ordered multiple parts from very happy with A1 auto parts and there quality products they offer think u very much for making my family safe out here on these high way got to injoy my family vacation even in despite of my fuel pump going out think you very much and we will be a returning customer have to order parts for my husbands Lincoln ls here really soon.
