  1. step : Draining the Coolant (1:00)
    • Remove the radiator cap by turning counterclockwise
    • Remove the four 10mm bolts securing the cover underneath the radiator
    • Pull the cover down
    • Have a drain pan ready
    • Open up the plug with a 19mm wrench
    • Let the radiator drain
    • Hand-tighten the plug
  2. step : Removing the Intake Tube (2:36)
    • Remove the Phillips head screws from the throttle body cover
    • Remove the 7mm bolt from the throttle body cover
    • Remove the intake tube from the throttle body, MAF, and breather hose
  3. step : Removing the Radiator Fan and Shroud (3:34)
    • Remove the 36mm fan clutch nut
    • Some of these next steps are necessary if you don't have the fan clutch nut removal tool
    • Familiarize yourself with the route of the serpentine belt
    • Insert the 3/8 inch drive ratchet into the tensioner
    • Turn the tensioner clockwise to tighten the belt
    • Remove the two 10mm bolts on the water pump pulley
    • Remove the 36mm fan clutch nut
    • Remove the two 10mm bolts atop the fan shroud
    • Remove the fan and shroud together
  4. step : Removing the Water Pump Pulley and Serpentine Belt (5:29)
    • Put tension onto the alternator belt with the 3/8 ratchet
    • Loosen the remaining two water pump pulley bolts loose
    • Release the belt tensioner
    • Remove the serpentine bolt
    • Remove the bolts the rest of the way
    • Remove the water pump pulley
  5. step : Removing the Water Pump (6:07)
    • Release the three hose clamps with a pair of pliers
    • Remove the hoses from the water pump
    • Remove the twelve 8mm bolts from the water pump
  6. step : Installing the Water Pump (8:33)
    • Insert the gasket to the water pump
    • Thread two bolts into the water pump
    • Insert the water pump onto the hose and into place
    • Tighten the 12 8mm bolts to the water pump
    • Torque the bolts to 89 inch-pounds
    • Reattach the hoses
    • Compress the clamps to the hoses
  7. step : Installing the Water Pump Pulley (10:09)
    • Insert the water pump pulley into place
    • Hand-tighten two bolts to the pulley
  8. step : Installing the Clutch (5:05)
    • Insert the fan over the fan clutch
    • Tighten the 10mm bolts to the fan
    • Torque the bolts to 15 foot-pounds in a crossing pattern
  9. step : Reinstalling the Serpentine Belt (10:39)
    • Loop the belt around the crank pulley
    • Bring it over the water pump
    • Bring it under the A/C Pulley
    • Bring it over the power steering pulley
    • Try to bring it under the idler pulley
    • Bring it around the belt tensioner
    • Pull the tensioner clockwise with the 3/8 inch ratchet
    • Pull the belt over the idler pulley
    • Inspect that the belt is fully on the pulleys
    • Release the tensioner
  10. step : Installing the Radiator Fan and Shroud (12:27)
    • Insert the fan shroud into place
    • Turn the 36mm nut a couple of threads and hand tighten it
    • Reinstall the two 10mm bolts atop the fan shroud
    • Insert the 3/8 inch drive ratchet into the tensioner
    • Turn the tensioner clockwise to tighten the belt
    • Tighten the fan clutch nut
    • Tighten the two 10mm bolts to the water pump pulley
  11. step : Reinstalling the Intake Tube (14:26)
    • Insert the intake tube and air box cover into place
    • Tighten the hose clamps with a flat blade screwdriver
    • Reconnect the breather hose
    • Reinstall the throttle body cover
    • Tighten the Phillips head screws to the throttle body cover
    • Insert the bottom cover into place
    • Tighten the four 10mm bolts to the cover
  12. step : Bleeding the System (15:35)
    • Fill the radiator with the appropriate mixture
    • Leave the radiator cap off
    • Leave the funnel in the radiator
    • Place a drain pan beneath the radiator
    • Put the fan on the lowest setting
    • Put the heat on the highest setting
    • Run the vehicle
    • Watch the air bubbles
    • Refill coolant as needed while the vehicle is running
    • Let the coolant reach operating temperature
    • Wait for the coolant level to stop dropping
    • Check for heat to come out of the vents
    • Turn the vehicle off
    • Reinstall the radiator cap
    • Top off the overflow bottle if necessary
    • Test drive the vehicle and monitor the coolant levels
