  1. step : Removing the Exhaust (1:02)
    • Disconnect the two oxygen sensor wiring harnesses
    • Remove the two 13mm nuts from the heat shield
    • Pull down the heat shield
    • Remove the two 16mm nuts from the front of the exhaust on each side
    • Remove the 13mm bolt from the hanger bracket at the rear of the exhaust on each side
    • Apply rust penetrant to the exhaust hanger bushings
    • Pull the bushings off the studs with pliers
    • Have an assistant hold up the exhaust
    • Remove the four 13mm nuts from the exhaust cross member
    • Pull the exhaust down and off
    • Pry off the exhaust if necessary
  2. step : Removing the Driveshaft (4:46)
    • Remove the four 11mm nuts from the heat shield
    • Mark the driveshaft and differential positions
    • Put the transmission in neutral
    • Remove the three T60 Torx bolts and 18mm nuts holding the driveshaft coupling to the differential flange
    • Mark the driveshaft and transmission output positions
    • Remove the three T60 Torx bolts and 18mm nuts holding the driveshaft coupling to the transmission output
    • Secure the transmission end of the driveshaft with zip ties
    • Remove the two 13mm bolts from the center bearing
    • Separate the driveshaft from the differential with a prybar
    • Pull the driveshaft down and off
  3. step : Removing the Center Bearing (9:02)
    • Mark the drive shaft on each side of the coupling
    • Separate the two driveshaft pieces
    • Install a bearing separator onto the driveshaft yoke
    • Tighten the bearing separator with the appropriate socket and ratchet
    • Slide the bearing off the driveshaft
  4. step : Installing the Center Bearing (12:42)
    • Apply grease to the inside of the bearing surface
    • Slide the bearing onto the driveshaft with the flat bracket facing the yoke
    • Place a piece of pipe onto the bearing race
    • Tap the bearing onto the driveshaft with the pipe and a hammer
    • Line up the two pieces of the driveshaft
    • Slide the driveshaft pieces together
  5. step : Installing the Driveshaft (13:47)
    • Lift the driveshaft into place
    • Line up the rear of the driveshaft, using your marks from Step 2
    • Start the T60 bolts and 18mm nuts into the rear driveshaft coupling
    • Line up the front of the driveshaft, using your marks from Step 2
    • Start the T60 bolts and 18mm nuts into the front driveshaft coupling
    • Tighten the T60 bolts and 18mm nuts
    • Tighten the T60 bolts to 43 foot-pounds of torque
    • Install the two 13mm bolts into the center bearing bracket
    • Lift the heat shield into place
    • Start the nuts and washers onto the heat shield studs
    • Tighten the 11mm nuts onto the heat shield
  6. step : Installing the Exhaust (16:57)
    • Line up the exhaust
    • Hold the front of the exhaust with a jack
    • Hold the rear of the exhaust with bungee cords
    • Put the cross member into place
    • Fasten the 13mm nuts onto the cross member
    • Fasten the two 16mm nuts onto each side of the front of the exhaust
    • Put the heat shield into place
    • Install the two 13mm nuts for the heat shield
    • Connect the two oxygen sensor wiring harness
    • Apply penetrating oil to the exhaust hanger bushings
    • Slide the hanger bushings onto their studs
    • Remove the bungee cords
    • Insert the 13mm bolts into the exhaust hanger brackets
    • Start the engine
    • Check for exhaust leaks
