The 1-A part worked even better than I had expected!
Took the door apart (Thank God for the video on your site) and got the failed actuator out. Had to read instructions several times to get the installation right in my mind due to slight differences in the appearance of the replacement part vs the original part in the 2002 F-150. After putting it back together, I tested it to make sure it worked before putting the door panel and other parts back on. The new part worked so smoothly and so quietly that I thought that it was not working until I watched the door lock go up and down. Happy? Yes!

Yes, the rods are included.
Alex P September 19, 2017
What you see in the picture is what youre getting....am not too sure what rod youre referring to...if youre referring to the one that you manually pull/push to lock/unlock the door then no but if youre referring to the one that connects the actuator to the door latch assembly then YES

yes, worked like a charm. and I bought pair of window regulators . I highly recommend 1A AUTO PARTS. YOU CANT GO WRONG AND VIDEOS ARE THE BOMB! im pretty shore your remote wont work on doors until your door lock actuator is working. you have to buy from home depot m6 bolt and nut choose you length mines was 1 inch with lock washers. good luck!

How do you install the rods?
Katrina S July 16, 2018
The different length rods can be confusing because this part is made to fit several vehicles with the rods being the only difference. I picked the shortest one first and inserted into the door lock mechanism because the rod it is curved on the end to fit into the assembly without fasteners and cannot be twisted in if it is attached to the larger actuator. After that, I test fit the actuator to look at the length. I was satisfied it was right, so I attached the rod to the actuator and installed it into the bracket. Takes a little patience, but mine works like new. Good Luck!

Remove the door panel. Measure the length of the old actuator. Place the correct extension for the length. Remove old actuator and replace with the new one and tighten.
