2010 Dodge Ram 3500 Truck with Oval Plug Windshield Wiper Motor & Linkage Mopar 68043386AC

Okay, friends, one of the first things we need to do is get our wiper arms off of here. If you were to look at the wiper arm, you could find this little tab, just pull up on that. And then you should be able to pull this right off of here. Now looking along the front cowl, you're going to see two t20 screws, there's going to be one on the driver's side and one all the way over on the passenger's side, remove them both. Now we need to remove our washer hose here. Let's go ahead and separate the two pieces. Now we're going to start removing some push clips. You want a nice trim tool like this, or you can even use some side angle cutters. Get this out of the way a little bit. And now we're going to grab onto this rubber piece, lift this up until it gets to this point right there where you can see the split is.

Now we're going to start removing some push clips down along this lip right here, there's three for this side. Now we can grab this and separate the washer hose from right here. Remove this from the vehicle. Over on the driver's side, we're going to remove these push clips, as well. Grab your cowl. I'm gonna try to get it out of here. Remove it from your vehicle. Now we have a nice, clear view of our wiper assembly here. We're gonna go ahead and grab onto this wiring harness, you squeeze this tab where my thumb is, and then draw it away. Take a peek, make sure you don't see any funny colors, set it aside. Now we're going to remove our three mounting bolts, you're going to find one on the passenger's side, one in the center of the unit, and then one all the way over in the driver's side, remove all three.

Grab your wiper assembly, give it a wiggle, then remove it from the vehicle. Before we go ahead and take this apart, take a quick note of where these arms are located on the regulator itself. Because if you were to take this apart, and then spin this to the wrong side when you reattach it, well, then your wiper blades are going to work in the wrong direction. Now this is going to be easiest to service on a bench, what we want to do is take this arm off of here, that's going to be leading to the arm on the motor. If you were to get underneath the lip, you should be able to pop it right off of there. So I'm just going to try to get underneath just the lip of it. There we are. Go ahead and get this rubber out of the way. And now we're going to do the same to the lower one. Now we're going to use a 10-millimeter to remove our two mounting bolts.

Okay, friends, now it's time to install our new motor onto the regulator. Line up those bolt holes, start in both of your bolts and then snug them up. Next, if you wanted to, you could put a little bit of lubricant on this. And then, of course, you would just take this arm, make sure this is facing in the direction that it was originally.

And then we're just gonna push this on there. You can try to squeeze it with some pliers if you're worried. There's one and get this all the way down. Okay, make sure it's sitting on the ball so we can pivot. Go ahead and take that rubber piece that you have, we're gonna slide it right on there, grab the other arm, make sure it's facing in the direction that it needs to, and then we're going to push this on there, as well. Let's go ahead and pivot it, pivot this one, they feel great. Now we're ready to get back to the vehicle.

Now let's get this back into the vehicle here. Line up all three of your mounting bolts, start all three in, and then go ahead and snug them up. Now let's snug those up. Reconnect your wiring harness, give it a nice tug, take off both of your black caps. Now we're just going to close the hood and we're going to put the wiper arms on so we can test them before we go too much further with putting everything together. Do the same to the other side, make it look as parallel as possible. Now we're going to test them, we want to make sure they both go up to where they need to go. That looks really great. So what I have here is it comes up very high up here. It's cleaning the majority of the windshield for me, I don't have a large area that isn't going to be swept and I also have a layover when the passenger's side comes, it covers past where the driver's side blade goes. That's going to clear the windshield for us and it looks great. Now that we've set and tested our wiper arms, we want to make sure that we mark them so we know exactly where they need to go after we remove them and we try to put them back on. So let's go ahead and take these back off of here now.

Now with the hood back up, let's go ahead and start putting back together our cowling. Let's go ahead and put in those push clips for this side. Now let's get the passenger side cowl on there as well. Reattach our washer fluid hose here. Set this up so it's going in along here. It's good. We've got our mounting holes, line them all up, put in your push clips. Put in your push clips along here. Let's get our seal back on as well. And, of course, our washer for the hose. Now we're going to put our wiper arms back on here. Let's try to line this up approximately where we had it so I can go one more to the other direction. That looks good. All right, let's give these a test. Perfect. Let's go ahead and get our little corner screws back in. Do the same to the other side.
