This item is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty. In the event this item should fail due to manufacturing defects during intended use, we will exchange the part free of charge (excludes shipping charges) for the original purchaser. Please keep your invoice for proof of this warranty.

  1. step : Remove the rear shocks (0:52)
    • Raise and secure your vehicle, and jack up the control arm.
    • Take the spare tire out so its not in your way.
    • Remove the two bolts on each side of the shock.
    • Use a breaker bar and a socket and a combination wrench on the other side of the bolt to remove the bolt.
    • Repeat on the top side, using an 18 mm wrench and a 15 mm socket and ratchet/breaker bar.
  2. step : Install the new shocks (4:06)
    • Mount the shocks in and thread the two bolts through each end.
    • Bolt them down with your socket and ratchet and wrench.
    • Torque the bolts nice and tight, consulting your owner’s manual for the specification.
    • Replace the spare tire and lower your vehicle.

Tools needed for replacement:

    Pliers, Cutters & misc Wrenches

  • Adjustable Wrench

  • Ratchets & Related

  • Ratchet

  • Sockets - Metric

  • 15mm Socket
  • 18mm Socket

How does these four (4) shocks (front and rear) compare to the original shocks that came on the truck when new in 2001 and at 125,000 miles just now needs replacing?

BEST ANSWER: These are a decent all around gas charged shock kit and the internal valving is set to exact OEM specs for a nice neutral ride
