Worn ball joints can cause excessive front tire wear, popping or creaking in the front end, extra play in the steering system, and pose a serious safety concern. Replace loose or worn ball joints with our quality replacement.

One way to diagnose a loose, or warn ball joint, is to jack the car up, so the wheel is off of the ground, then have someone try to move the wheel in and out. While they are moving the wheel check the ball joint for play, if it is moving you probably need to replace it.

Our steering and suspension components are pre-greased and sealed for long life and do not require the extra maintenance typically required by greasable versions.

Customer Q&A
Ask a question to 1A Auto customers who purchased the product
The existing lower ball joint on my 2000 dodge Dakota 4wd does not have a snap ring (and its still firmly encased in its spot), but the replacement does? Do I need a press to remove the old? and do I use the snap ring with the new part, or is it the wrong part? The part sent says its for 2000-2004 dodge Dakota 4wd only. Im confused, sweaty and a little frustrated.
Mike B June 26, 2016
Make sure you clean around the old ball joint. The dirt may be covering up the lock ring. They DO need to be pressed out and press in the new. You need to use the lock ring according to the manufacturer specs when you install the new parts
Brian F June 27, 2016
Es you will need a press, and yes it will use the snap ring.
