Better than original. Also buy the o ring from water pump and line from thermostat housing to throttle body.

This thermostat housing fit my 2011 Chevy Cruze with 1.8 liter engine like a glove. Better than original plastic housing , less likely to crack and the oring is a better design and the mating surfaces are designed better. The only improvement I could see is to also include the o ring that has to be replaced from the water pump to the thermostat housing. I had to order the upgraded revised one from another place. Also when you replace this you WILL need a new line that goes from the thermostat housing to the throttle body. It's rhin and gets brittle and just shatters when removed after a years of hot and cold cycles. Very happy, better design than original and good price and fast delivery.

No. If you still have no heat, check temp on both heater core hoses to ensure flow. Also, check radiator temp sensor is working properly.
