Perfect Valve Cover Replacement

This Valve Cover (with gasket and bolts) from 1AAuto.com was a perfect fit and replacement part for the original one (which had the PCV go bad inside it) on a 2011 Chevy Cruze. This part fixed the vacuum leak, and the vehicle performed as it should after the repair. The Valve Cover came well packaged, and arrived on the expedited shipping date, as ordered. The price was extremely competitive, and because of all the repair videos made by 1AAuto.com, I decided to purchase from them. I was extremely satisfied with the entire experience. Seems like a good fit for replacement. Comes with the gasket, pretty cheap and went on without a hitch. The oil cap doesn't like it 100% though. Doesn't twist out as easily as it should.

PCV valve oil leaking

I bought a valve cover for my chevy cruze Ls 2012, but after installation? fortunately I found that my car oil consumption went high and most of engine oil went out because of attached PCV VALVE leaking. If I didn't find it maybe it make a serious damage to my car.

2018 January, I had to purchase the new valve gasket and replaced on my 2011 Cruz. but it leaked less than a month. and 2019 February, I purchased Purmatex Ultra gasket maker and applied. and it leaked less than a week. so I searched the internet and 1A Auto popped up and shows the Valve cover and cheapest price on the internet. so I ordered right away. and now it hasn't been leaking at all. and ignition cover was rattling on the old valve cover and this new one doesn't rattle at all. It is just a perfect fit. Thanks to 1A Auto. ;)

Exactly what I asked for

Description was very accurate, was delivered smack dab in the middle of the estimated delivery date range.

Not the quality I expected.

Two of the supplied bolts had heads that would not fit an E10 socket - looked like the heads were not fully machined. I had to pull original bolts off the old valve cover, these were obviously a much better quality bolt anyway so I wish I'd done that with all of them, but didn't discover the problem until the install was well underway and I already had enough to redo. Furthermore, the bolt holes did not line up precisely right, so that caused more doing and redoing to get it to work. Finally, the original oil cap (valve cover does not come with a new one) does not go on or come off easily. After a few test drives the original issue of a P0171 code and suspected PCV membrane issue does seem to be resolved, so that's good, but I was hoping to avoid new problems by paying more for this vendor's product than I could have elsewhere on the web. And since the bolts and hole alignments are so poor I'm not feeling very confindent for the longterm.

Valve cover and gasket was durable and came in a timely manner. It was easy to install.

Problems & its been 2 months

Its leaking had my mechanic check it out after 2 months of having it. Its leaking.

Works just like OEM. Surprised to hear it also, because many said if you didn't buy the OEM one it wouldn't fit and the pcv valve can cause oil burn issues. I tried a few aftermarket pcv valves and the all caused oil consumption. All the bolts lined up perfectly and the gasket is high quality. Put this in a 1.8 Sonic.

I gave this product a five star because of the price, quality and that it came with bolts and gasket as advertised. The issue I had with the old valve cover was the pcv which is built into the valve cover was not venting the system. Replacing with this new valve cover took care of the problem. The service was fast and product is good quality. I recommend this product.
