Blend Door Actuator 2003 Chevy Tahoe
Its not easy to replace the passenger blend door actuator. But once I was finished, this part fit and works perfectly. Was getting nothing but hot air on passenger side while AC was on, that is no longer an issue. Whats even better was that it saved me $100 compared to my local auto parts store.

Saved me a ton!!
Took my Yukon to the dealer because driver side was blowing hot air. They said it would be $1200 to fix because they had to dismantle the dash. Saw a video about the actuator and found one on 1aauto.com and it worked like a charm!! Even had a video to show proper installation!!

Great OEM Replacement
Replaced a defective unit on my 2004 GMC Yukon Denali and this has worked very well. I would recommend it to anyone and the quality of the product seems better than stock.

Let There be light!
These were an exact fit and easy to install on my 2005 Chevy Tahoe. I have functional fog lights again, the lens covers broke off of the other ones on the road somewhere and these were no-brainer! You guys came through again with the exact parts.

Talked with rep and he helped me select proper part. Worked great and the video of exact repair was awesome. I’ve got an 85 k5 bkazer that I’m making a list of items that will be ordering at a-1 soon. Can’t wait to get the parts so I can put them on my 85. Thanks guys first class operation! Jon Bismarck ND

Chevy AC Blend Door Actuator
I purchased 2 of these actuators to replace the factory originals on my 2004 Chevy Silverado. The passenger side was only blowing hot air and even after going through the reset/calibration process I had the same results. This actuator is located under the dash cover and the recirculation actuator is off to the right, so I didnt want to have to re-visit this again and purchased one for each point. The actuator is well made and actually has a metal barrel section rather than plastic like the OEM part. Build quality of the actuator is very good and this isnt just some lightweight knock-off as it at least appears to be the equal of the OEM if not a little more robust. No issues at all with the mounting or fitment and the electrical connector mated perfectly. After installation I performed the reset/calibration routine and Im back to normal with a lot of money saved over buying the OEM units! My truck has 4 total of these actuators and you can bet that if either of the remaining 2 go bad, Ill be ordering these again to solve the issue!

Customer Q&A
Ask a question to 1A Auto customers who purchased the product
What do I do if the rod that goes in the blend door breaks during removal of the old one?
Cody D April 18, 2016
You will need to take the whole blend door assembly apart to replace it
Bryan M April 18, 2016
Try and locate one either through the dealer or salvage yard I suppose.
Brian F April 18, 2016
is this the one i need if im getting hot air on drivers side when i turn on air cond. on 2004 silverado 2500 ?
Chuck R August 4, 2017
If its not blowing hot on the other side then yes
Wendell E August 4, 2017
Yes
Sarita V August 4, 2017
I used this on the passenger side

I thought this was the problem , Turns out it requires completely removing the dashboard to get to the problem. The teeth on the flaps are worn out and the vents dont operate properly. I found that using the " Auto " setting , although it doesnt work every time, will, most of the time, correct the hot air problem. Im just not going to attempt removing the whole dash board. Hope that helps.

I change out the actuator and it work.
Dwayne H August 9, 2017
Is this the actuator that would need to be replaced if the entire front AC is blowing hot? Our back AC in the Yukon still blows cold. We took the actuator out and get moderately cool air when we slide over the little door where the actuator was.
Cara M August 4, 2017
I have a 2004 GMC Sierra PU. I have the dual zone temperature controlled HVAC system. My truck very often will switch from cold AC air to VERY HOT air, to a point where I have to turn the AC system off. My mechanic said that the cause of the problem is a defective blend door actuator. I am having both actuators replaced next week...so stay tuned!
James A August 4, 2017
YES!!! This solved my problem in my 05 Yukon XL w electronic climate control!!! Good Luck!!!!
