When I received the fuel pump for my 1998 S10 4.3L it was an exact replacement. I installed the unit without issue until I started my 1998 S10 up and then it reported an error code of PO0452 EVAP Pressure Sensor/Switch Low, I installed the old sensor and the fault cleared. The pump was a good price but unhappy the sensor was showing failed right after installation. overall it worked out but that is why I scored it low.

Got it in. Hooked it up. Primed system. Started right up. Thanks. The only thing to complain about is there were no wireing instructions with it or on the your site. Would have been 5 stars if those were included.

this pump works very well. i cut a hole to install it because it was way more cost effective. the pump came on time and went in in 5 minutes. first crank and the truck was up and running. the sending unit, however, is a different story. it doesn't go all the way to full and it doesn't go all the way to empty. i'm sure there is an adjustment, and with the hole in my bed, it would take about 10 minutes to adjust. i just don't know that procedure. P.S. i did the hole method of changing the pump and it saved me $750, plus, the cost of the pump locally is 4 times that of this pump, bringing the total cost savings to around $950, but only do it if you have a hard bed liner. if anyone needs a guide let me know...

I would recommend this replacement versus a Dealer pump. I had it installed in my Slammed 2 off the ground (Frame) Chevy S10 Pickup. No issues, turn the key, it primes and starts! Save a few hundred bucks and purchase this aftermarket part. Heck, it even looked like it was higher if not the same quality as Dealer! Just dropped the Truck and ?? Mic !!

Got the fuel pump, dropped it in my fuel tank and there is a raised tab not allowing the locking ring to sit flush or allowing it to be locked In. Wasted close to $100 on this with tax and cant return it since it's been in my gas tank. What a waste!!!

I've had two of these. They lasted 3 months for the first one. Wouldn't pass a leak down test. The second one of these last 6 months with, it had a total failure. The gas gauge wasn't accurate for either. They were fine until you got down to a 1/2 of a tank. Then the gauges go wonky. I would turn the ignition on the gauge would read 1/4 tank after starting would read a 1/4. If I would get down to around 5 gallons left the gauge would go wonky while driving. I didn't have that issue until I replaced the pump. Not a great feeling to not know how much fuel you have. The only way to guess is to fill it up when it reads 1/2.

A man at my brothers logging shop put it on for me but he just raised the bed didnt take it off loosened back bolts and raised the bed behind the back glass but I know he said he didnt have to drop the tank. Hope it helps
