I put one in on my 08 silverado. very difficult and requires some patience. You do NOT need to take your dash totally apart and get to the back of your radio!! If you take your side molding off at ea. end of your windshield (think its was 2 screw ea.side) then remove the top cover on your dashboard (a piece from the windshield towards you) you will see down into the dashboard. About 1/3 the way in from your truck antenna side you will be able to find the antenna cable coming from out side. There is a quick disconnect plug in that area. unplug it and unbolt your antenna outside to start to pull the cable out. BUT BEFORE YOU DO I highly recommend you tie a line onto the antenna cable where you unplugged it at the disconnect spot in the dashboard. OR You will never get to fish the new cable back into the truck because there is a 90 degree bend about 8-10" down below the antenna into the dashboard area. Can this be used to replace the antenna on my 2007 Tahoe that uses the passenger side far rear window integrated antenna? That thing is awful for radio reception.
