Cabin Air filters are recommended to be replaced every year or 12 to 15,000 miles. These filters get dirty or clogged preventing proper airflow from your heater or A/C blower motor. Poor air flow results in slow defogging or defrosting of windows and eventually a inoperative blower motor from overheating.

How do you change it?

BEST ANSWER: The cabin air filter is located on the outside of the vehicle towards the windshield. There will be a removable black plastic cover on the passenger side. Once the cover is removed, the existing cabin air filter will be able to be pulled up and out of your vehicle. The installation will require just placing the new filter into the same spot and position as the one you removed and clipping the black plastic cover.
