Just what I needed
My old Mercury Grand Marquis was making a racket while driving. It was a metal on metal grinding sound. The passenger side rear brake was shot. Since this is a new to me used car, and I did not know when the last brake job was, I wanted all new rotors and pads. I also just did the front brakes, and used the A1 Auto how to videos off youtube. Unfortunately, I ordered those parts from someone else. Turns out, even with good online research, I paid to much. I compared prices against the national retail stores, and found for the price of 1 rotor and pads, I could get this 2 rotor and pads kit. Thats like a free rotor! I also compared prices against Amazon, and this was 33% cheaper! Once again, the youtube video came in handy. Thank you to the fine folks at A1. I did some online research, as this was my first order with them. I found some negative comments on shipping and parts availability. I had no issues with this order. The parts actually arrived 1 day early on the free shipping option. They were the right parts, and the guarantee to fit promise was true. I went so far as to track down their main office address and checked with the local BBB. They currently have an A+ rating. This sealed the deal for me, so I went ahead and ordered. I think I have found my new source for well priced parts on the internet. The only word of caution, this kit had 2 different brands of rotors in it. I am not sure if this is normal for their really well priced kits or not. They both fit fine on the car, but have a slightly different appearance. Since my car has full wheels and hub caps on top, the rotor appearance does not matter at all. This was not an issue for me, but if you have rims that you can see the brakes through, and really care about that element, be advised.
