The brake pads and rotors were fine, but the video that shows how to put them on that is from 1A-Auto told me to use an 8mm Allen socket and what I needed was a 7mm Allen socket! I went to the store about 20 miles away to get the 8mm Allen socket and had to go back to the right one which is the 7mm Allen socket.

What is 4 wheel disc brakes?

4 wheel disk brakes are just that, disks on all 4. Some cars have disks on front and drum on back. You can look at the brakes and see if they are a shiny metal disk that gets pinched by brake pads or drum style normally are black and you can't see anything shiny. Disk brakes stop better so a lot of auto makers have gone to 4 wheel disk.

Years ago, vehicles were equipped with drum brakes. You can google a photo to get the idea. The disadvantages of drum brakes were that, particularly with heavy use, such on a long downhill grade, the brake drums would get hot and effective braking, with heat, would be significantly reduced and could become completely ineffective and, replacing brake shoes and drums was time consuming. Disk brakes are, as the name implies, a large disk( the rotor) with a caliper and brake pads. The caliper has a piston which presses against the inner pad (the outer pad is stationary). The caliper is mounted on slide pins which allow it move, thus insuring that the pressure of the pads on the rotor is uniform inside and outside the rotor,thus preventing rotor warp. The part of the rotor in contact with the pads gets hot but, because the rotor is turning, the part of the rotor not in contact with the pads has a chance to cool off, thus, disk brakes are more efficient than drum brakes and not as subject t
