  1. step : Removing the Wheel (0:48)
    • Loosen the lug nut covers with a pick
    • Loosen one of the lug bolts with a key found by the spare tire
    • Loosen the 17mm lug bolts with the vehicle on the ground
    • Raise the vehicle with a floor jack
    • Secure the vehicle on jack stands
    • Remove the lug nuts
    • Pull off the wheel
  2. step : Inspecting the Brakes (1:23)
    • Turn the rotor by hand or turn the steering wheel to turn the rotor
    • Check the thickness of the brake pads
    • Check the brake pad wear indicator
    • Check for gouges on both sides of the rotor
  3. step : Removing the Brake Pads (1:53)
    • Pry off the caps on the brake caliper
    • Remove the T47 bolts from the brake caliper
    • Pry off the wire clip with a flat blade screwdriver
    • Pry the brake pads into the caliper with a flat blade screwdriver to push in the pistons
    • Pull the caliper aside
    • Pry the brake pads off with a flat blade screwdriver
  4. step : Removing the Brake Rotor (2:47)
    • Remove the 21mm bolts from the brake caliper bracket
    • Pull off the brake caliper bracket
    • Remove the T30 screw from the rotor
    • Spray rust penetrant around the edge of the hub
    • Strike the hub area of the rotor with the ball end of a ball peen hammer
    • Pull the rotor off
  5. step : Installing the New Brake Rotor (3:48)
    • Slide the rotor on
    • Tighten the T30 screw to the rotor
    • Clean the brake caliper bracket with a wire brush
    • Put the bracket back into place
    • Start the 21mm bolts by hand
    • Tighten the bolts to 90 foot-pounds of torque
  6. step : Installing the New Brake Pads (4:51)
    • Use a large C-clamp and the old pad to push the piston back
    • Apply brake grease to the back of the pad and their contact points in the bracket
    • Install the new brake pads into the caliper
    • Put the caliper on
    • Thread the T47 bolts by hand
    • Tighten bolts to 30 foot-pounds
    • Push the wire clip onto the brake caliper
    • Replace the brake caliper caps
  7. step : Reattaching the Wheel (6:42)
    • Slide the wheel into place
    • Start the lug bolts by hand
    • Tighten the lug bolts preliminarily
    • Lower the vehicle to the ground
    • Tighten the lug nuts to 100 foot-pounds in a crossing or star pattern
    • Tighten the lug nut covers
  8. step : Testing the Brakes (7:34)
    • Pump your brakes repeatedly until they feel firm
    • Test your brakes at 5 miles per hour and then 10 miles per hour
    • Road test the vehicle

Great parts!
I've had these rotors and pads on for about a week now and they are smooth. Very quiet braking. I was a bit skeptical at first because the dimensions listed were a bit off from the manufacturer specs but I found out that the specs on the parts were from a previous part number. I also looked up the company that makes the parts and they are a reputable company. The parts came in dealer quality packaging and I will definitely be buying parts here again. I've even recommended this site to a few friends and they say they will be buying too.

Don’t buy offline
I won’t go to the local auto parts store anymore, online here saved me nearly 300$ compared to Napa’s prices. I should note the rear calipers required a 14mm spline “triple square” socket to remove rear rotors.

I have a 2006 base model 4 door rabbit will these brakes fit?

BEST ANSWER: These will be correct for a 2006 4-door VW Rabbit, as long as the rear rotors you are replacing are 256mm in diameter!
