What are Tapered Bearings and Why Use Them?

Tapered bearings are better than roller ball bearings at handling forces exerted on the bearing during cornering (known as axial load) in trucks and large cars.

Roller ball bearings have spherical ball bearings between two straight rings (called races). Tapered bearings use tapered rollers shaped like flat-topped cones and two races angled from the outside to the inside of the bearing. The greater the angle, the more axial load the bearing can handle.

Your model came from the factory with tapered bearings. This type of bearing handles cornering forces better for trucks and large cars. Roller ball bearings work well for smaller cars, but replacing a tapered bearing with a roller ball bearing will result in increased wear and faster failure.

Zinc Coated

Helps reduce rust and corrosion for a longer-lasting and better looking rotor.

"True" Non-Interference Vane Design

Retains the structural integrity of the rotor

CNC Cross Drilled and Slotted

Precision-Rounded End Slots remove brake dust and expel gasses during hard braking.

Cross Drilled Holes improve ventilation and cooling for less brake fade and more positive stopping power.

Great kit
Everything you need and installation was easy. Nice smooth brakes now and fresh new hubs. Only thing that would make it better would be new caps for the hubs since the old ones bit it removing them. This was so much cheaper than what a shop wanted to charge for doing only 1 hub assembly. I paid half what they wanted and did BOTH hubs PLUS the rotors and pads.

Great deal
This was a great deal, much cheaper than buying all of it separately. I wish there was a "tools needed" section on the page but the YouTube video listed them so it was fine. Good quality and the shipping was fast. I would 100% recommend, and will be purchasing from here again.
