  1. step : Removing the Wheel (0:42)
    • Loosen the lug nut covers with a 19mm socket
    • Pry off the center cap with a flat blade screwdriver
    • Loosen the lug nuts with the vehicle on the ground
    • Raise the vehicle with a floor jack
    • Secure the vehicle on jack stands
    • Remove the lug nuts
    • Pull off the wheel
  2. step : Inspecting the Brakes (1:04)
    • Turn the rotor by hand or turn the steering wheel to turn the rotor
    • Check the thickness of the brake pads
    • Check the brake pad wear indicator
    • Check for gouges on both sides of the rotor
  3. step : Removing the Brake Pads (1:24)
    • Remove 14mm bolts from the brake caliper
    • Pull the caliper aside
    • Pry the brake pads off with a flat blade screwdriver
    • Remove the brake pad brackets
    • If only changing the pads, continue to Step 6 and install the new pads
  4. step : Removing the Brake Rotor (2:07)
    • Remove the 15mm bolts from the brake caliper bracket
    • Pull off the brake caliper bracket
    • Pull the rotor off
  5. step : Installing the New Brake Rotor (2:30)
    • Slide the rotor on
    • Thread on one lug nut to hold the rotor in place
    • Use a large C-clamp and the old pad to push the pistons back
    • Apply anti-seize fluid or white grease to the slides
    • Push the slides on
    • Remove the brake pad slides
    • Put the bracket back into place
    • Start the 15mm bolts by hand
    • Tighten the bolts to 65 foot-pounds of torque
  6. step : Installing the New Brake Pads (3:54)
    • Clean the brake pad brackets with a wire brush
    • Push the brackets onto the caliper bracket
    • Apply grease to the brake pad tabs
    • Install the new brake pads into the bracket
    • Put the caliper on
    • Thread bolts the 14mm by hand
    • Tighten bolts to 35 foot-pounds
  7. step : Reattaching the Wheel (5:22)
    • Slide the wheel into place
    • Start the lug nuts by hand
    • Tighten the lug nuts preliminarily
    • Lower the vehicle to the ground
    • Tighten the lug nuts to 100 foot-pounds in a crossing or star pattern
    • Reattach the center cap
    • Tighten the lug nut covers with a 19mm socket
  8. step : Testing the Brakes (5:58)
    • Pump your brakes repeatedly until they feel firm
    • Test your brakes at 5 miles per hour and then 10 miles per hour
    • Road test the vehicle

The ball joints I ordered didnt fit my truck but the customer service was great I had no problem getting my refund back I emailed customer service and had my refund back on my card in five days I was very satisfied with customer service I will use 1a auto again

Ball joints
Well I got my parts it took a lil longer than a week i dont know what happen this time . But I did get them . i order upper and lower ball joints for a Ford 2003 f150 . An for some reason they sold me the upper ball joints knowing they cant be replaced. You have to buy a new assembly. But its all good I like 1A auto .

Wrong parts
This was to be for a 2001 Ford F-150 my mechanic said its was the wrong one had to go a pay 170.00 for the right one and out the $45 for these

F150 ball joints
Ordered parts and 2 of the 4 ball joints came messed up. (Apart). They quickly rectified the problem so I was ultimately satisfied.
