Tech told me that there is a clip or pin that holds the axle in place and doesn't let it move side to side. Is this true and if so can you give me the part number for the pin or clip ? Thanks.

5/16 wrench. Take out bolt. Wiggle rear ring gear. Catch the center pin that should come out. Axles will have to be pushed in . Center pin keeps Axles from moving in. Big hammer and block of wood- hammer axle in . "C" clip will show it's self on end of axle. May need a magnet to get out. Pull axle out. If your rear differential does not have any of this - I'm not sure if you have a GM rear end. Thanks you have to put back the "C" clip - yes reuse the old one. Install pin and bolt.Enter
