Vehicle Fit

This airbag clockspring is a new, aftermarket replacement part. It mounts to the steering column under the steering wheel. This is the part that allows the steering wheel electrics, including the airbag, to function properly while the steering wheel is being turned.

You should replace your clockspring if:

  • Your airbag has been deployed
  • Your air bag light is on and it is found that the clockspring is bad
  • Your steering wheel electrics are not working due to a bad clocksping

Specifications:

  • Direct Fit

  • Built to strict quality control standards
  • Not correct for models equipped with ESC (Electronic Stability Control) or Steering Angle Sensors

Fit and Installation

This part is designed to replace the factory clock spring with no modification. We have the part at a fraction of the cost from a mechanic or the dealer.

The Correct Fix

The clock spring in your car is a very important part of your vehicle's airbag system. The clock spring sits behind the air bag and allows the mounting of steering wheel mounted accessories such as cruise control and audio controls. It also provides power to the airbag so it can deploy during a crash. The electrical connections to the steering wheel and the airbag have to be in the form of a spring because the steering wheel turns and the electrical connection must be maintained no matter the angle of the steering wheel. Over time and many turns the clock spring wears out and may cause failure of electrical components on the steering wheel or worse, failure of the airbag to deploy. If your airbag light is on or your steering wheel mounted controls aren't working anymore, replace your clock spring with the right part the first time. You will save money in the long run.
