Backup camera repmacement

This was a lot easier than I thought Took me about 30 minutes to install it and it was clearly an upgrade from the original camera You too can do this

I purchased this backup camera for a 2015 Chevy Colorado. It is an OEM replacement camera. This camera is much better and a sharper image than the original camera from Chevrolet. I highly recommend this camera.

My 2017 GMC Canyon had a very fuzzy/cloudy picture and after some searching, I chose this part from A1 Auto. Install was a breeze. Remove the plate from the tailgate, unscrew the old camera. I also took out the bezel they had with the original one and this one fit right in its place. Very easy and the picture is great. Would definitely recommend if your camera pic is all cloudy.

Rear view camera

The rear camera in my 2016 Colorado was blurry and needed fixed. I ordered a replacement and installed it. So very easy. Now I can see clearly again. Quality part and service from a great company.

It's a camera

It worked for what I wanted but I'm not sure where all the "it's better than stock" reviews come from. The factory camera in my 2016 was a much clearer picture. For the price it's fine.

Quality replacement cameras

Highly recommended, easy to install, price a whole lot less than paying GMC for replacement. Old camera was scratched from dirt being wiped off the lens, happy to see a crisp clear picture while backing up again.

What a difference!! Didn't realize how bad my camera was until I swapped it out for this one. Crystal clear image and easy to install. Shipping was fast and even when first order got lost by UPS they immediately sent out a replacement order. Highly recommend both the product and 1A Auto

Pretty simple to Install. Follow the instruction in the owners Guide. Remove the license plate and the tailgate acess panel ,the camera is right there and the connector is behind the license plate. took about 30 min. Ty a string to assist in pulling the cable in and out.

Easy instal, plugged right in to existing wiring. Maybe better than original camera, seems brighter with a wider view. Only difference was it left a small gap around the camera where it protrudes through the hole in the tailgate handle, the original had a rubber seal attached to the camera.

I replaced this for my father in law, I wished I would have taken a before picture and an after picture. This backup camera was plug and play, nothing else was needed. The camera is very clear now and I wished I would have done this sooner for him. It is very easy with star bits and should have taken 20 minutes in and out. My father in law hit something and the people who did the work did not route the cable properly. Now it does get dirty and wet from dew but just wipe and carry on. Its back to the day he bought the truck

Drop the tailgate, unscrew the access panel and follow the camera wiring under the truck and unplug it. I would tie a string on it. Unfastened the camera in the access well and take out the camera pulling on it. The string will be pulled through. Tie the new camera wiring to the string and pull it back through and connect everything back up or have a friend help you feed the wiring through the tailgate. It works better with two people.

Mine came with no instructions also, but one you take a look it's very easy. Hardest part was disconnecting the wire harness without breaking the locking snap!

I found a U Tube video of the job. It is rather simple. No need to adjust the cameras view, at least with my 2016, as it is built to be fastened only 1 way.
