It fits and worked
The replacement mirror for my Golf fit the spot and appears to be identical to the original item. The wiring hooked up and seems to have all the electrical items in mirror assembly working properly. Prepping and painting the body color cover piece was a pain. It's a shame that you cannot order the thing already painted. Based on this experience I would recommend 1A Auto for parts.
