Should You Purchase This TRQ Wheel Bearing & Hub Assembly?

TRQ makes durable, reliable wheel bearing and hub assemblies. They start with the Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) design to ensure they fit just like the originals. This front hub pair is guaranteed to fit RWD Ford Expeditions and Lincoln Navigators from 2003-2006. TRQ hubs also use tapered roller bearings, like your originals, rather than the roller ball bearings some companies may try to sell for your vehicle. The tapered roller bearings are better at handling the cornering forces of large vehicles like Expeditions and Navigators. TRQ hubs use high-grade steel, heat-resistant grease, and a multi-lip seal to increase the lifespan of the hub and bearing.

Wheel bearings can wear out over time, especially if moisture or dirt finds its way inside. That will keep the wheel from rolling smoothly, causing noise and vibration from the wheel. It may also lead to uneven tire wear. It's possible to replace the bearing alone, but it requires a tool called a bearing press that you might not have. For do-it-yourselfers, it often makes sense to replace the entire hub.

Its a good idea to replace your hubs in pairs, because if one wears out, the other is probably just as worn, and may go soon after.

Thankfully, with guaranteed, exact fit aftermarket TRQ wheel bearing and hub assemblies, replacement isn't complicated. Start by breaking the hub nut and lug nuts loose with your vehicle on the ground. Then raise up the wheel you need to replace the hub on. Remove the tire and the brakes. Then separate the hub from the axle and the wheel knuckle. Then install the new hub and put everything back together.

What are Tapered Bearings and Why Use Them?

Tapered bearings are better than roller ball bearings at handling forces exerted on the bearing during cornering (known as axial load) in trucks and large cars.

Roller ball bearings have spherical ball bearings between two straight rings (called races). Tapered bearings use tapered rollers shaped like flat-topped cones and two races angled from the outside to the inside of the bearing. The greater the angle, the more axial load the bearing can handle.

Your model came from the factory with tapered bearings. This type of bearing handles cornering forces better for trucks and large cars. Roller ball bearings work well for smaller cars, but replacing a tapered bearing with a roller ball bearing will result in increased wear and faster failure.

Best Bang for the Buck
1AAuto has been the best value for me over the past few weeks I've had to replace several important parts on my vehicle I always call the nearest part store only to get quoted a very high price, 1aauto is always at least 50% less than part store and with the free shipping it's well worth the wait for me.

Great part even better price!
I ordered front hubs for my 2006 Ford Expedition. The part fit great and was delivered in a timely manner. I saved a ton of money buying from 1aauto. This was my second purchace from them. Time will tell if this part holds up to the competition. I bet it does. Thanks!

Outstanding Value
Spending just a little over $61 for 2 wheel bearing assemblies was unbelievable. My mechanic charged me just $60 to install both. I saved over a $1000 by not going to the dealership. I will always consider 1A before buying parts from anywhere else.
