Part Details

  • Quantity:   Pair

In the past, replacing struts required specialized tools to compress, remove and transfer the old spring and mount.  Pre-assembled with all new parts, our complete strut and spring assemblies make this job much quicker and easier for the do-it-yourself mechanic.

Each complete strut & spring assembly contains:

  • Upper Strut Mount
  • Strut Bearing
  • Coil Spring
  • Boot & Bumper Kit
  • Gas-charged Strut

Loaded strut & spring assemblies allow for a quicker, safer install than bare struts.  No spring compressor required!

Trouble-Free Install

Includes the matched parts needed. New components over reused parts provide a better ride and save you from having to repair again.

Matched Parts

Not all shocks and struts are manufactured the same.  Mixing and matching can result in ride quality issues and decrease the life of the parts.

Saves Time & Money

Over buying the parts individually, or having to search different parts that are correct for your vehicle (because we did it for you!)

Got what I paid for
The struts fit great and the ride is smooth. I only commute 10 miles a day so these should keep my 02 civic riding well until it dies!

Civic Shock & Spring Assembly
Correct parts and they were easy to install with the help of the installation video. Car rides much smoother and quitter.

Ordering and receiving went great. Installation was more difficult than the video.
I needed a second set of hands to crowbar the rear end assembly down to install the shock bottom bolt. Make sure to have both wheels off the ground with jack stands not supporting the rear end assembly so that it will flex down. Honda dealer wanted $900 for the pair. Huge difference in price and only time will tell on the quality. The new shocks are now squeaking and I presume that will go away?

Affordable and easy to install
At first i was a little skepticle on whether or not I could tackle a job like this on my own but with the help of 1AAutos online instruction video I was able to knock this job out in a matter of just minutes! Saved me a lot of money on taking it to the mechanic and gave me a sense of accomplishment. I will be purchasing all of my parts from 1AAuto from now on thanks to their easy to follow instructiom videos and perfect matches to the parts I need!

Customer Q&A
Ask a question to 1A Auto customers who purchased the product
Who was the manufacturer of these rear shock struts (2001-2005 civic)? Anything else I should know?
Phil S August 14, 2017
I dont recall the actual name of the manufacturer but these are pretty prevalent as a cheap Chinese made replacement strut. They would compete with Sensen but probably arent as good of quality as Sensen. They fit well on my 2003 Civic and have performed well since I installed them roughly 2 1/2 years ago. If youre on a budget or you dont think youll have the car for more than another 40K or 50K miles then I think theyre a reasonable option.

Phil- I dont recall the name of the manufacturer, its NOT Honda, theyre Chinese. However, they are tremendously less expensive than factory and just as good if not better. Keep in mind theyre for an old Honda! 1aautos video on how to replace them was very instructive, its something you can do with hand tools in your own garage on a weekend afternoon. Make sure you have a REALLY BIG prybar, a good floor jack and jack stands. Cheers!

We have a few different aftermarket companies build these parts specifically for us, as our 1A Auto house brand. They are manufactured to the same OEM specifications as the original part that came with your vehicle. If you have any further questions, please dont hesitate to ask.
