2001-03 Honda Civic Exhaust Manifold with Catalytic Converter Assembly - 1AEEK00666

Good product, challenging install
Ok, this is one of those things you might complete in 2 hours or as many as 8.
Product was of good quality and I also replaced both O2 sensors (kit). I recommend the sensor socket- golden.
The process is simple enough since you are simply taking off nuts and bolts and replacing a single unit (EMF + CC).
>> if you are reading this, then likely your civic is 10-15+ years old. The nuts holding the manifold to block (threaded shafts protrude from block) WILL BE RUSTED AND FRIED ON. Therefore, you will need a premium penetrant such PB blaster. Let it work for an hour or so. Secondly, even with the PBB, you may strip the nuts- I did. You'll then need bolt extractor sockets (METRIC). If you're not a pro mechanic and own these already, save yourself the frustration and get a set before starting- about $30.00 at local auto store (got mine at A-Z) changer.
Watch the video carefully.
The only other issue to watch is the hanger the holds the lower junction of exhaust pipe to engine/frame. Do not attempt to remove the bolt from bottom that you'll see under car (permanently welded to hanger). Rather, use a stubby wrench or ratchet and reach up around to the top of hanger to remove nut). This is basic but, wear eye protection under car since your penetrant will be dripping. Especially when you spray that hanger underneath. You'll only get that or carb cleaner in your eyes once in a lifetime and never forget again : (
Lastly Note- your engine error codes won't resolve after repair (by itself). You must either secure a handheld diagnostic w/ reset or disconnect battery for 20+ minutes. The battery route does require recoding factory radio (see owner manual) to operate (weird Honda thing I suppose)..
Best of luck, JC
